Premier Predictions (Week 04)

Last games before the first International break of the season, and with the transfer window shutting next week might be the last chance to see a few of your players?
This weeks games all on Saturday and Sunday for a change.

Newcastle v Arsenal
Aston Villa v Sunderland
Bournemouth v Leicester
Chelsea v C Palace
Liverpool v West Ham
Man City v Watford
Stoke v West Brom
Tottenham v Everton
Southampton v Norwich
Swansea v Man Utd

No real stand out games this week except maybe Man U going to Swansea who beat them both times last year?
I've been 100% wrong on my West Ham predictions so far, so I'll break the habit of a lifetime and go for a Liverpool win this week hoping my run continues :)

  2. Cheers Paulo, which West Ham will turn up this week, the one that was so good at Arsenal or the one that's been shit in nearly every other game we've played this season?

    Cheers Lee,

Good score last week. Was surprised that I managed 8 points.

Hopefully West Ham will help Benteke become the EPL leading goal scorer later ;)

  9. Cheers Paul, hope you're ..... wrong :)
Well done Gobby, I see your 3 year old got you up nice and early :)

  10. Ref busy early at Newcastle, 1 red and 2 yellows for Newcastle, could have been 3 reds and a penalty?
    Good stuff :)

  11. On behalf of Paul and myself, I'd like to thank Mr. Marriner & Mr. Coloccini for the early lead.

  12. One game done, Arsenal probably lucky that Newcastle were too busy kicking players rather than the ball.
75 minutes against 10 men but never looked like scoring until the unlucky deflection.
Points so far - 3 for Biopunk and Paul, 1 for the rest of us (except John)

  13. 52 years of history versus my ability to get every West Ham result wrong? getting nervous now.
Referee has done what all refs do at Anfield and sent Mark Noble off for a nothing challenge, ten minutes left to give Liverpool 3 dodgy penalties .. hanging on.

A few other shocks as well, so scores not great so far although everyone else did better than me .. but I don't care :)

  16. Dark days....In fairness, West Ham deserved to win, Bilić had a plan, Rodgers relied on 52 years of history, and didn't think he needed one. First Spurs, then Stoke and now West Ham...Dark Days ;(

  17. Bilic just needs a plan for home games now :)
To be honest Paul, Liverpool had started the season a lot better than I expected and I thought he was going to have a lucky season, Stoke and Arsenal haven't really clicked in any game, and you can always rely on a dodgy ref decision at Anfield like the goal against Bournemouth. Benteke is a good player if you play to his strengths but they haven't worked that one out yet, and despite all the millions spent there aren't any players who can win a game single handed like Suarez and Gerrard used to.
Still don't think Rodgers will last the season?

  18. After the Lord Mayor's show, last week I won by a mile, this week last by a mile :)

    Day 2 Final Scores
    Biopunk 10, Paulo 7, Gobshyte 6, Longy 6, John 5, Paul 4, Lee 2, (Lawro 9)

Congrats to Biopunk who won in style with a 3 pointer in the last game :)

    Back after the international break.
