Premier Predictions (Week 01)

(Drum Roll) ....  🥁

Here we go again the Premier League is back, so if anybody is still interested here we go with the 15th NBTF Premier Predictions competition (2024-25 Edition).

Hopefully the regular players will be back and anyone reading this blog is welcome to join in at any point, just let me know a name and club supported so I can give you some colours.

It looks like there are going to be lots of re-arranged Friday and Monday night games which muck up this and fantasy football, plus hundreds of other re-arranged for TV games over the season. 😠

T&C's - Usual rules apply
3 Points for a correct score, 1 Point for a correct result.
Predictions League will be decided on weekly wins first, if 2 or more people share a weekly win that will be classed as a draw, if at the end things are still level the total points for the season come into play.
Predictions in the comments please  😀
Obviously predictions will only count if they are made before the kick offs, please try and post the whole set at once (but I won't enforce it as these Friday night games catch everyone out including me).
All 380 Premier League games will be covered, plus sometimes FA Cup games and the League Cup Final will be included to make up weeks where there are many postponements due to those games.

Prizes - Just the admiration of everyone who plays

I guess the comments problem is still going on? so if your comment does not post straight away don't worry it should be in my comment moderation box as it assumes a lot of posts are spam.
Will publish as soon as I check.

Here we go  👍

  1. Thanks Bio
Garden tidied up a bit, Doc said I was lacking Vitamin D so a good excuse to soak up some of the recent sun after 6 months of rain.
Season has sneaked up on me, hence the mad dash yesterday to get this going and sort out Fantasy teams etc
Google making this difficult at the moment, not letting me do basic things.
This post took about 20 attempts to post yesterday "update failed", and the pics I was hoping to add yesterday it wouldn't let me do? "allow cookies" so I allowed cookies, "you need to login to allow cookies" I am logged in, "you can't post if you don't allow cookies" repeat till I swear grrrr!!
Now trying to post this "failed to publish comment, try again later" so if you see this it means it finally went through?

  8. Ipswich did well for an hour, but Liverpool turned it on for 10 minutes which showed the class difference.
Greaves and Hutchinson of Ipswich look good signings.

  9. Wins for Arsenal, Brighton, Newcastle, Villa, Liverpool and a draw at Forest.
West Ham a first home defeat to Villa since 2011, not the new manager bounce I hoped for.

    Day 2 (7 Games)
    Gibbo 9, Lee 6, Paul 6, Biopunk 4, Paulo 4, (Sutton 5, Liam 9, Model 1)

  10. Wins for Brentford and Man City
    Day 3 (9 Games)
    Gibbo 10, Paul 10, Lee 7, Biopunk 5, Paulo 5, (Sutton 6, Liam 12, Model 1)

High scoring for a first week, still a chance of an outright winner if Tottenham win 2-0 or 2-1

  11. Jamie Vardy still having a party, grabbed an equaliser for Leicester against Tottenham

Week 1 Final Scores (10 Games)
    Gibbo 10, Paul 10, Lee 7, Paulo 6, Biopunk 5, (Sutton 6, Liam 12, Model 1)

Overall a win for Sutton guest Liam Frey from the Cortina's
In the bit that matters it's a drawn week with 10 points each
Congrats to Gibbo and Paul :)
