The Good And The Bad
Good win for the Hammers with Carroll doing what Carroll does and Nolan doing what Nolan does :)
Nolan has been piss poor all season mainly because he was still taking up those positions to feed off Carroll's knock downs without getting his head around the fact Carroll wasn't playing.
The kick in the teeth was Chico Florres conning Howard Webb into sending off Carroll after his standard roll around holding his face act that we've all seen too often :(
I suppose we should have expected it after Fat Sam took the mick out of him when he did it earlier in the season when luckily the ref didn't fall for it.
Hopefully the red card will be overturned and he will be available for the next 3 must win games, even Laudrup looked embarrassed when asked about it.

Hazard Warning
Hazard kicks the ball boy, Torres would've missed him, Cole would've shot him, Ramires would have broken his leg and Terry would have shagged his mother :)

Dickhead Barton Special Agent
Joey Barton's still fighting his demons. So chinning Carlos Tevez was just a case of mistaken identity.
They all thought that Joey Barton had left Man City but it looks like he is still on the payroll. His dog is now wealthier than Harry Redknapp's.
After his attacks on Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez, the British Army have recruited Joey Barton and he is to be stationed in the Falkland Islands.
You can tell a lot about a person by their eyes, For example if they have a cigar in one of them chances are they know Joey Barton.
Went to the hairdressers earlier and asked for a "Joey Barton", Although I was less than impressed when I left with the word "Twat" shaved into the back of my hair.
"I went down easy" admitted Joey Barton after his collapse against Arsenal earlier in the season ... I bet he was popular in prison.
Ladbrokes have opened a book on where Joey Barton will start next season? I've put a tenner on Belmarsh.
Muppet Of The Season
There is an obvious winner here but please vote anyway :)
The poll is on the right, with the 10 football related people who I think deserve recognition for their outstanding contributions.
Joey Barton started and ended the season with the thug behaviour that we have been used to for many years, although somehow he has become a minor celebrity during the season for appearing to be "intelligent"??
John Terry has again managed to lose the England captaincy this time for on pitch antics after racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, and then his idiotic foul in the Champions league semi nearly cost Chelsea the game.
Luis Suarez diver extraordinaire and racist moron.
Neil Warnock has the amazing knack of blaming everyone else for all his failings, despite bringing in a shedload of expensive players at QPR he turned them into almost certain relegation candidates and has followed up by making Leeds also rans when they looked certain for the play-offs before his arrival.
Ched Evans rapist scum.
Carlos Tevez, I obviously like the guy and reckon he is one of the best players in football, but his 6 month sulk almost cost City the title and showed him up as a prize muppet.
Steve Kean totally out of his depth as a manager and really didn't seem to know why everyone hated him, I know he was unlikely ever to land another managers job but he really should have walked.
Mario Balotelli is an easy choice, yes is he is a great player but only on days when he wants to be and yes he is young but the mind is probably still 10 years behind the body.
Kenny Dalglish for his blind support of Suarez showing his football brain is still stuck in the 80's.
Garth Crooks, why oh why is this guy on telly every week? his rants can send insomniacs into a deep sleep and he really doesn't seem to know the first thing about football.

Premier League Final Day
Final day and still a few things up for grabs.
Man City need to win to guarantee the title, Man Utd have to win to stand any chance.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle fighting for 3rd, 4th and 5th where only 3rd is guaranteed Champions league football next season.
At the bottom Bolton have to win at Stoke to overtake QPR, QPR themselves need only a point to be absolutely safe but they are at Man City.
Half time -
Man City lead 1-0 but have lost Yoyo Toure to injury, QPR might have been happy early on but with Bolton now winning they have to do something.
Man Utd also 1-0 up with a Rooney goal but anything but safe.
Arsenal started well but then found themselves 2-1 down before pulling a goal back.
Tottenham got an early goal against Dempsey-less Fulham, you would expect them to carry on unless Martin Jol still holds a big grudge and feels he owes Tottenham some payback.
Newcastle looking dead and buried at 2-0 to Everton.
Bolton got a really bad start but have come back to lead which at the moment keeps them up.
The other games not really mattering at the moment.
Second Half -
Great start with Cisse scoring for QPR, and Arsenal have taken the lead again.
Oh dear Joey Barton the Twat is back!! he elbows Tevez who is not usually a diver and then after being sent off kicks Aguerro and has a bust up with Ballotelli, probably means QPR will go down and City should go on to win, maybe Barton is still a secret Man City fan? but after a season where he has improved his reputation he has reverted to type and proved he's a 100% Twat.
The Spuds have scored again. Everton 3 up.
Amazing stuff QPR have scored again!!
Stoke have just scored to take the pressure of QPR.
Bolton game finishes and suddenly QPR give up and concede 2 goals in the last few minutes to give them the title amazing stuff!!!
The Man Utd game finishes with them as champions but 2 minutes later they are runners up.
Arsenal finish 3rd thanks to Ben Foster being injured and reserve Fulop having a nightmare, Tottenham win and finish 4th meaning we all have to cheer Chelsea on next week :)
Newcastle finish 5th but still can be proud of a good season.
Swansea beat Liverpool, Norwich, Chelsea and Wigan all win and Bolton are relegated :(
Not the results I really wanted as I'd predicted Man U as champions and QPR getting relegated and neither of those happened, you have to wonder what would have happened if Stoke hadn't equalised against Bolton? would QPR have carried on to get the result insted of throwing the towel in? we shall never know.

Bye Colin
So Wanker Warnock has been shown the door :)Not sure if I can start liking QPR again as Fernandes seems to want to buy all our players but so glad Warnock is gone, although Chelsea might be looking for a new manager soon and he has been linked with that one hehe :)
I guess my start of season prediction that QPR would get relegated is under pressure now as surely anyone could do a better job (except Bruce of course).

Barton Returns
Tuesday, 8 February 2011
Barton
The tackle that started the trouble which led to Diaby getting sent off was the best tackle I've seen in ages in the premier league, the sort of tackle I loved to make many years ago in my Sunday league career, take the ball first and if the player isn't quick enough to get out the way then take him as well :)
As expected Arsene Whiner thinks Barton should have been sent off for the "dangerous" tackle (was it even a free kick? shouldn't have been), I do think Kevin Nolan was lucky to stay on after his two "raised hands" incidents but Barton's tackle was just classic right out of the old school of tackling you used to see every game before all the players became ponces.

Chris Hughton

Proving finally that Mike Ashley knows as much about football as my missus, the sacking of Chris Hughton shows the guy is living in a dream world where Newcastle are one the biggest clubs in the world and should win every game, the fact he hasn't got Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour's billions seems to have passed him by.
Last seasons record of 30 wins, 12 draws and only 4 defeats was outstanding especially for a club that started the season in "crisis" and expectations were very low, Hughton deserved better after turning round the team that had been so bad the previous season.
But since taking over at the start of last season it has been obvious that Hughtons face didn't really fit with Ashley and he only got the job because he was already there and none of the so called world class managers would touch the job without considerable financial back up.
This season despite a few defeats they have probably punched above their weight to be mid table, a win and a draw against Chelsea is a pretty good return for a newly promoted team and recent wins at Arsenal and the 5-1 thrashing of local rivals Sunderland should have given Hughton a safe job for the next couple of seasons and if their new striker Ben Arfa hadn't got injured it could have been even better.
Newcastle have said that they are "looking for someone with more managerial experience"? anyone with the required managerial experience wouldn't touch this club with a barge pole after this would they?
Contenders -
Martin Jol has just left Ajax so is the current favourite but is his record any better? Tottenham fans might have an opinion on that, as far as I know he hasn't won a league title with any team even Ajax who finished behind Steve McClaren's Twente last season.
Martin O'Neill is in the frame but again his record isn't top class, titles at Celtic are good but that is Scottish football where as long as you beat Rangers you're probably going to win the league, Aston Villa really should have qualified for the Champions league under O'Neill but they never managed it and his record at Leicester is good for a small team in that they won a cup but the league form was patchy.
Alan Pardew again has a reasonable record of getting teams to punch above their weight with Reading, West Ham and Southampton but nothing much in the way of trophies.
I see Peter Beardsley has taken the 30 pieces of silver to take the job on a temporary basis, I would have thought a Newcastle legend like him might have told Ashley where to stick it.

Sad Day

Colin
In previous seasons I would be quite happy that QPR are doing well as they are one of those teams I've liked watching in the past going back to the Stan Bowles, Gerry Francis era when they were fun to watch.Sadly at the end of last season they decided to employ Colin Wanker as their manager and like most football fans you just want to see that obnoxious git fail.
Hopefully he'll do or say something stupid before the end of the season and they'll sack him so that I can wish QPR well on their return to the big time?

Once A Thug
Always a thug.So Barton gets a 3 match ban for his punch on Pedersen, which is the rules so it's probably right but considering this idiot's record maybe someone one day will say that's it enough is enough now fuck off and go play rugby or some sport where his victim is likely to punch the little cunts head in if he tried this with them.
It would be great if Football was a proper contact sport and players fought like they used to when I was young but it's not anymore so there isn't a place for people like Barton.
