Premier Predictions (Week 37)

Just 2 weeks to go and like the Premiership title the prediction competition is still open.
Bumper week with 13 games over 5 days.
3rd place Man City have 2 games including a tough away trip to Everton and a home tie to relegation threatened Villa, 2nd place Chelsea who are now 'concentrating on the league' have what looks like an easy home game to Norwich, but they will be desperate for the points. Leaders Liverpool have an awkward game away to in form Palace and can't afford to slip up.
At the bottom the big game is on Wednesday with Sunderland facing West Brom.

Man Utd v Sunderland
Newcastle v Cardiff
Stoke v Fulham
Swansea v Southampton

    1. I was one of the few who voted to keep Fat Sam!!
Not because I like the way he plays, but because I don't think West Ham will be able to attract anyone better?
You know exactly what you get with Sam, we'll grind out enough points to stay up with a few high points (and a few low ones), none of the really good managers around would come here at the moment to work with a limited budget meaning we would end up with one of the has-beens or never going to be's :(
Once the Olympic stadium money starts coming in maybe we can set our sights higher and attract a better manager and players, but for now mid table obscurity seems the way to go?

  8. Bye bye Cardiff and Fulham, sorry Gobby about Fulham - also means no free tickets next season :(
Both went down with a whimper and unless Norwich pull off a freak result tomorrow they will be the third team down. Sunderland have been amazing in the last 4 games and probably deserve to stay up now.
Sad also for Bristol Rovers who were relegated out of the league today :(

5 Games down and here's the current scores
    Biopunk 4, Lee 3, Gobshyte 2, Paul 2, Paulo 2, Longy 1

    Biopunk 5, Lee 4, Gobshyte 3, Paul 2, Paulo 2, Longy 1
No 3 pointers yet but a long way to go

Well done City, all my City FPL players came off injured so hopefully they will be fit for midweek?

  10. Good draw for Norwich but it didn't really help anyone, it keeps the season alive for them for a few more days but they still need a miracle, and Chelsea have blown any slight hope they had.

    Day 2 Scores
    Biopunk 6, Lee 5, Gobshyte 4, Paul 3, Paulo 3, Longy 2

  11. Day 3 Scores
    Biopunk 6, Lee 5, Gobshyte 4, Paul 3, Paulo 3, Longy 2 (no change)

Wow what an end to the game, for the first 79 minutes Palace weren't in it and you just expected Liverpool to add to the 3 they had, then it all fell apart.

  12. Day 4 Scores
    Biopunk 7, Lee 6, Gobshyte 5, Paul 4, Paulo 4, Longy 3
A point each tonight, 2 games to go and everyone has gone for 2 home wins and there still hasn't been a 3 pointer this week!!
No one is out of it yet, although Longy's best possible is a draw

  13. Yayayaya, Cost me 3 points right at the end but I don't care, great goal :)
Finally had some 3 pointers tonight, Paulo's 4-0 was pretty good but Biopunk grabs it with the correct Sunderland result :)

    Final Scores
    Biopunk 11, Lee 8, Paul 8, Paulo 8, Gobshyte 7, Longy 5

The NBTF Predictions competition is now a 3 horse race :)
Paulo is favourite as he wins if He, Paul, Longy or Bio wins outright or it's a drawn week.
I win if I can win next week thanks to one extra draw.
Gobby wins if he can win the week thanks to having more points overall.
Does that make sense? ... it will :)
