  4. Went to the Irish game on Tuesday with my eldest lad and the comparrisons between the Irish and west ham are amazing they are the only set of supporters who can truly take the mickey out of themselves when the most popular chant of the night was
"All you ever do to me I know it so wrong but I just can't get enough" priceless and so true
The way they equalised on 94 minutes with the Germans trying to kick off with three Irish players celebrating in their half unbelievable but seeing 60 year old men reduced to tears at a DRAW that will live with me forever
    Cheers

  5. Long way to go for a midweek game but sounds like it was worth the trip :)
Nothing beats a last minute winner (or equaliser) especially away from home.
Sounds like one of those games that will live in your memory forever :)

If anyone ever asks me about my favourite game, I always go on about the night Frank Lampard Senior scored that late winner in the 1980 semi up at Leeds, the previous 118 minutes had been pretty average but can't describe the joy of that moment

  11. Just the once Paul, so I'll take that one :)
Good game so far with City and Tottenham at Half time, 2 penalties, some great saves and Lampard carried off.
As Psychic Dave is the only one to predict Tottenham scoring he might be taking an early lead, but I wouldn't bet against more goals.

  12. A point for everyone, wishing I had Aguerro in all my fantasy teams :(

  13. Don't call me psychic, Bernie Rhodes knows don't argue.

  14. Thought that was Scarface :)
    Day 1 scores (7 games)
    Longy 8, Paulo 8, John 7, Paul 7, Dave 5, Gobshyte 5, Biopunk 4, Lee 3, (Lawro 4)
Some good scores, and still tight at the top although I'm out of it already :(

  15. QPR score 4 amazing ... shame 2 were in their own goal :(
Point for most of us, 2 games to go.

  16. Day 2 Scores (9 games)
    Longy 10, Paulo 9, Dave 8, John 8, Paul 8, Gobshyte 6, Biopunk 5, Lee 4, (Lawro 8)

1 game to go and Longy, Paulo and Paul can win outright,
Dave and John in with a chance of a 3 way tie with Longy if it ends 1-3 tomorrow.

  17. Let's hope the Baggies win tomorrow then. Happy days!

  18. C'mon the 2-2 with Di Maria to score both the Man U goals ;)

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm guessing that was a Paul post, especially as DiMaria is now your captain in FPL due to the non appearance of Costa Coffee.
Did surprisingly well this week in FPL despite it showing 7 of my players injured/suspended on Saturday morning, and my only transfer was to finally replace Collins who then went and played :(

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, the equivalent of a last minute winner, and the rare sight of a Liverpool fan cheering a Man U goal :)

    Day 3 Final Scores
    Paul 11, Longy 10, Paulo 9, Dave 8, John 8, Gobshyte 6, Biopunk 5, Lee 4, (Lawro 8)
    Congrats Paul, good win :)
