Premier Predictions (Week 22)

Another exciting week of the Premier League :)
Big game of the week is under-performing Man City against over-performing Tottenham, Pep Guardiola has managed to make a very expensive City team look pretty average, while Pochettino is getting better every year, making some pretty average players play like world beaters.
The rest of the title contenders look to have pretty easy games, but you never know.
West Ham need to build on last weeks excellent performance at smog city, which has not been a happy hunting ground in previous visits (although we did win there the last time we played).

Liverpool v Swansea
Bournemouth v Watford
C Palace v Everton
Middlesbrough v West Ham
Stoke v Man Utd
West Brom v Sunderland
Man City v Tottenham

Southampton v Leicester
Arsenal v Burnley
Chelsea v Hull

Good Luck All :)

    1. The Model's gone a bit goal crazy this week :)

    2. She has her reasons...The model thinks there is actually value backing Chelsea at 1.18 or 1/5. She has calculated the odds should be 1.05 or 1/20. Swansea, Watford, Hull & Sunderland have pretty much given up. At first glance, Burnley prediction seems a bit harsh, but then again, recent away form is 0-0-5 scored 2, conceded 11. Has the Model gone mad...we will know by this evening ;)

  6. For the record, Lawro's guest this week is James McAvoy.
Not only have I actually heard of him but I really like his films, and he's gone for a West Ham win so he goes up a bit more in my estimation :)

  7. I must be the only one who has gone for West Ham draw! Triple kiss of death also interesting that as soon as Donte named as ours ogbonna gets season ending injury makes more sense payet gone to France and not coming back is interesting as marsaille can't afford him pay day loan??

    2. Hadn't heard about Ogbonna? but did seem an odd first transfer as Reid and Ogbonna with Collins have looked good recently and none of them can play right back.
Still wondering why Carroll has whiplash?

    3. Ogbonna in the team today so can't have been that bad, and Carroll fit :)

    4. Just announced Oggy is going for surgery, you're the man in the know Paulo :)

    1. Current Prediction P&L +£76.28, the Model +£13.10, Two-Nil Lawro (Although he has gone 5x Draws this week) +£68.36

    2. Lawro went for a 2-2 draw in the City Tottenham game (same as me) I don't remember him ever going for that many goals in a game?
He's only done it once before this season - in the first City tottenham game :)
I've absolutely no idea on that one, logic says Tottenham away win but City can't be that bad again, can they?

  9. A last hurrah on the betting as my Coral account hits £1.44 :(
Been playing my original £30 stake for the last 2 years but after 6 months of mostly losing bets it's running out ... but who knows :)
Bloody Coral website was a nightmare today, took about 40 minutes and 2 different web browsers to get my bets on :(

  10. Kiss of death delivered on Liverpool, one of my bankers has crashed spectacularly.
None of us went for the Swansea win for some reason :)

  11. Great win :)

    Early Scores (6 games)
    Biopunk 5, Lee 4, Longy 3, Paul 2, Paulo 2, (Lawro 6, Lawro's Guest 5, Paul's Model 1)

At the moment (30 mins) City are running rings around Tottenham, and not sure Harry Kane is playing?
So probably a win for Tottenham with a Kane hat trick??

    1. Marriner Tottenham fan?
Blatant penalty turned down, Walker not sent off, Tottenham go straight down the other end and score from Kane's lay off from an offside position.

  12. Totally undeserved draw for Tottenham, but hey ho 3 points for me :)

    Day 1 Scores (6 games)
    Lee 7, Biopunk 5, Longy 3, Paul 2, Paulo 2, (Lawro 9, Lawro's Guest 6, Paul's Model 2)

  13. I'm starting to think I'm cursed not to win this :(
With 93 minutes of the Arsenal game gone it's 1-0 and 3 points to me, even after the equaliser I'm still a point in front of Bio ... then in the 98th minute!!!!!!!!!
    FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF........

  14. Current Scores (9 Games) :(
    Biopunk 9, Lee 8, Longy 4, Paul 4, Paulo 4, (Lawro 10, Lawro's Guest 8, Paul's Model 4)

Now if I was a lucky person Chelsea would win 3-0 (hat-trick from Alonso all assisted by Hazard for Fantasy football purposes)
But I'm guessing a 99th minute 4th goal from Chelsea, or Hull score :(

      Long games today

    3. Bah... bloody Chelsea :(

    4. You are just an unlucky person Lee, unlike me or Paulo. :D

  15. Guessing I am, 9 times this season I've scored 9 or above and haven't won any of them, my only win was an odd week when I got 8?, you (Bio) have only scored above 8 points 4 times yet you've got 7 wins.
    Life is so unfair :(

    Anyway enough self pity :)

    Week 22 Final Scores
    Biopunk 10, Lee 9, Paulo 7, Longy 5, Paul 5, (Lawro 11, Lawro's Guest 11, Paul's Model 5)

So this weeks winners are - a draw between Lawro and his guest (James McAvoy) with 11 points.
Our competition winner is Biopunk with 10.
    Congrats Biopunk :)

Next up it's another FA Cup week, will post soon.
But don't run away as there are midweek Premier League games (Week 23) starting 31st January.

  16. My only consolation today was....Chelsea to win 1st Half and the Chelsea to score next goal. the latter 13/8 with 30mins to play. Apart from that...pants. except fantasy football ;)

  17. I managed to avoid any winnings on my bets? thought I at least had a double on correct scores but had only done the first 6 games on Saturday (missing the 2-2 draw).
    Born unlucky me :(
