  6. The Model is some way off its optimum 5H & 5A games, but as I have been working on areas of its expertise, I thought I would submit what she thinks after 3 games :)

    Brighton vs Fulham 6-0
    Chelsea vs Bournemouth 2-1
    Crystal Palace vs Southampton 1-2
    Everton vs Huddersfield 8-0
    Leicester vs Liverpool 1-1
    Man City vs Newcastle 3-0
    West Ham vs Wolves 2-1
    Burnley vs Man United 2-2
    Cardiff vs Arsenal 1-0
    Watford vs Tottenham 0-1

Not sure if the Everton game constitutes a new prediction record Lee ;)

    The Model

N.B would treat these predictions with caution if using for betting purposes

    1. Many double figure score predictions over the years, so no to the record.
But don't remember anyone predicting a big win for Everton before :)

Can't say the Model has ever shown enough to risk putting money on, although a fraction better PPG than myself :(

  7. First game done, another win for Liverpool.
Sounds like Alisson is becoming a true Liverpool keeper, as his clanger gifted Leicester a goal :)

Great start for Paulo who has beaten last weeks score already :)
Point each for Gibbo, Paul, Guest and me.

  8. West Ham players seem to think Andy Carroll is playing, all the crosses into a position where Carroll would be flying in to head it .. trouble is he's not there and neither is anyone else :(
Luckily Wolves are playing at pre season friendly pace as well.

  9. Not really a sucker punch as it had been coming for most of the second half, but still a sickener coming so late.
Wolves missed a real sitter in the second half and West Ham's best chance by Arnautovic was brilliantly saved by Patricio's face.
Fabianski is the pick of the new signings, the rest look really average, not sure what Carlos Sancez gives us other than giving the ball away for the last minute goal :(
Not much to enjoy - Fabinski's saves and Obiang making a comeback? not much else :(

Other stuff - Wins for Chelsea and Southampton, good points for Huddersfield and Fulham.

    Early Scores (6 Games)
    Paul 5, Paulo 3, Gibbo 2, Lee 2, Biopunk 1, (Lawro 1, Greg 6, Model 2)

  10. Man City making hard work of beating Newcastle.

    Day 1 Scores (7 Games)
    Paul 6, Paulo 4, Gibbo 3, Lee 3, Biopunk 1, (Lawro 2, Greg 7, Model 3)

Lawro guest Greg James leads the way despite saying he knows nothing about football, which probably helps in prediction competitions :)

  11. A few shocks - Watford beat Tottenham, Man Utd win despite missing a penalty and having a man sent off, Cardiff score, Arsenal win on the road.

Another low scoring week, and Lawro is beaten by his guest for the 3rd time out of 4 :)

Week 4 Final Scores (10 Games)
    Paul 8, Lee 5, Paulo 5, Gibbo 4, Biopunk 3, (Lawro 6, Greg 7, Model 3)

A first win this season for Paul, and I'm second again :(
    Congrats Paul :D

    Back after the International Break.

    1. Well done Paul! Can't have Lee getting too optomistic this early in the season. ;)

    2. Woohoo, nice to get the 1st one on the board.

Looks like a few of us here are interested in the remaining unbeaten runs in the EPL...Liverpool, Chelsea and West Ham.. Although the latter is a far more worrying trend, and one i'm sure Lee hopes is broken soon, although I'm sure he is pleased for Spurs ;)

    3. I think the title might have gone for another season, but still 34 games to go :)
