Time for another double bill of Premier League action.
Week 27
Kicks off on Friday night for some reason? 2 games Friday, 4 Games on Saturday and 2 on Sunday plus a bonus game of the League Cup Final between City and Chelsea (wonder if Chelsea can keep it below 6?).
2 games have been postponed because of this so Everton and Brighton fans have a weekend off.
The big one is at Old Trafford on Sunday, Liverpool needing a point to stay clear of City.
Cardiff v Watford
West Ham v Fulham
Burnley v Tottenham
Bournemouth v Wolves
Newcastle v Huddersfield
Leicester v Crystal Palace
Arsenal v Southampton
Man Utd v Liverpool
Chelsea v Man City (LCF) (90 Minute Score)
Week 28

ReplyDeleteWest Ham v Fulham 2-0
Paul
Hammers making us sweat, always looked like winning but not grabbing the 3rd till injury time.
ReplyDeleteProbably the first time this season we've got away with a "dodgy" goal, hard to spot at the time but obvious on the replays.
Cardiff's recent upturn blown away by Watford tonight, nobody went 5-1 :)
Day 1 Scores (2 Games)
Biopunk 2, Paul 2, Gibbo 1, Lee 1, Paulo 1, (Lawro 2, Yungen 2, Model 2)
Still in shock that Lawro went for a West Ham win :)
Burnley v Tottenham 1-2
ReplyDeleteBournemouth v Wolves 2-1
Newcastle v Huddersfield 2-0
Leicester v Crystal Palace 2-1
Kane back and scoring, but Tottenham lose for the first time in the League since the last game he played?
ReplyDeleteBurnley unbeaten in 9 games since dropping Joe Hart.
Leicester 65% possession, 27 shots but lose 4-1 to Palace, but it was a really good game.
Puel really needs a win on Tuesday.
Others games 3 penalties, 2 scored at Bournemouth, and Newcastle beat 10 man Huddersfield who are almost dead and buried.
Day 2 Scores (6 Games)
Gibbo 5, Paul 5, Lee 4, Biopunk 2, Paulo 2, (Lawro 5, Yungen 5, Model 6)
Think the model has some more points Lee
DeleteIndeed
DeleteCan you tell the model to post in the right order so I don't make schoolboy errors in future :)
Revised Scores
ReplyDeleteDay 2 Scores (6 Games)
Gibbo 5, Paul 5, Lee 4, Biopunk 2, Paulo 2, (Lawro 5, Yungen 5, Model 9)
Arsenal v Southampton 2-0
ReplyDeleteMan Utd v Liverpool 1-2
Chelsea v Man City (LCF) (90 Minute Score) 1-3
Liverpool doing a job on Utd so far, Henderson crocking Rashford early on and not even getting booked, now Herrera and Mata limping off injured and Pogba chopped down by Milner.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the ref can't spell Henderson after 4 bookable offences?
Lingard coming on and getting injured early on (probably wasn't fit to play anyway).
United have used all their subs in the first half and Rashford still hobbling.
One way or another I don't think there will be 22 on the pitch at the end?
Chelsea v Man City 0-4
ReplyDeleteThe Model
90 minute score 0-0, Sarri must have rented Jose's bus :)
ReplyDeleteA win for the model, and a draw between Paul and Gibbo in the competition.
Full scores if and when someone scores a goal at Wembley :)
Crazy ending, Kepa injured near the end but refused to come off when being substituted for Penalty expert Caballero.
ReplyDeleteSarri went ballistic, I always thought the manager made the decisions (obviously not at Chelsea?)
Kepa made one good save from Sarnie, but let a really soft one in from Aguerro. Chelsea missed 2 with poor pens from Jorginho and Luiz.
Great pens from Hazard and the winning one from Sterling.
Who knows if Caballero would have saved any of the 4 City scored?
Thank god for penalties both big games today were pretty dull.
Shots on target today - Man U 3, Man C 3, Liverpool 1, Chelsea 0
Week 27 Final Scores (9 Games)
Gibbo 8, Paul 8, Lee 6, Paulo 5, Biopunk 3, (Lawro 9, Yungen 6, Model 12)
Overall a win for the inconsistent Model (last 9 weeks - 5 wins, 3 scores of 4 or less).
Competition it's a drawn week 8 points each for Gibbo and Paul.
Do it all again Tuesday :)
Good draw Gibbo & Paul!
ReplyDelete#Sarri&KepaOut

Crystal Palace vs Man United 0-2
Liverpool vs Watford 2-0
Man City vs West Ham 3-0
Southampton vs Fulham 2-1
The Model
Another one of the Models longshots. Model suggests that the calculated odds for Arsenal should be 1.08, so at 1.44 you are getting 485% of value over the bookies.
DeleteI know the Model is showing some form but 6 for Arsenal is stretching it, only 80/1 with the bookies is a bit disappointing
DeleteYes 6-0 is pushing it, but the win is value :)
DeleteCardiff v Everton 1-2
ReplyDeleteHuddersfield v Wolves 0-2
Leicester v Brighton 2-1
Newcastle v Burnley 1-0
Arsenal v Bournemouth 3-0
Southampton v Fulham 2-1

Man City 3 West ham 1
Cheers
This week's Lawro guest is Tom McFarland of the band Jungle (... no I'm none the wiser) :)
ReplyDeleteLawro has gone 3-1 to City over West Ham, only surprise with that is that is the first time this season (279 games) that he has predicted over 3 goals in a game!!
Cardiff v Everton 1-1
Huddersfield v Wolves 1-4
Leicester v Brighton 2-1
Newcastle v Burnley 1-1
Arsenal v Bournemouth 3-0
Southampton v Fulham 2-0
Chelsea v Tottenham 1-2
Crystal Palace v Man Utd 1-1
Liverpool v Watford 0-2 ???
Man City v West Ham 3-2 .. but hopefully City are knackered and we pull off a shock? I can dream :)
Biopunk and Gibbo you have 35 minutes
ReplyDeleteArsenal 2 v 2 Bournemouth
ReplyDeleteSouthampton 2 v 1 Fulham
Chelsea 1 v 1 Tottenham

Chelsea v Tottenham 1-2 (Weeping as I type that...)
Crystal Palace v Man Utd 0-2
Liverpool v Watford 2-1
Man City v West Ham 2-0
Better late than never fellas :)
ReplyDeleteSurprise wins all round, congrats to Huddersfield for a first win in 14, Burnley lose for the first time in ages, Leicester win without Puel and Everton hit some form at last, Cardiff's mini revival has crashed in the last 2 games.
Scores Day 1 (4 Games)
Paul 5, Lee 3, Paulo 3, Biopunk -, Gibbo -, (Lawro 2, Tom 1, Model 2)
Half time - Watching 2 games at once, Chelsea playing really well against Tottenham where Higuan should have got at least one goal.
ReplyDeleteWest Ham at City defending well, although Man City look a bit tired and lacking ideas :)
Arnautovic injured again, and young Ben Johnson making his debut (away at Man City probably not ideal) so far so good, Both games 0-0.
Liverpool 2 up with Mane's 2nd goal very clever.
West Ham were outplayed in the middle of the pitch but were never really under pressure, sadly beaten by another really soft penalty awarded, not sure there was any contact?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I saw Andy Carroll on the pitch but I might be mistaken :)
Oggy and Diop were excellent at the back at dealt with everything City put in the area.
Elsewhere .. Good win for Chelsea, great goal by Pedro and a clever finish by Trippier :)
Liverpool very good, Watford a major disappointment.
Arsenal only managed to score 5 (sorry Model) :)
Also wins for Man Utd and Southampton.
Final Scores Week 28 (10 Games)
Paul 10, Lee 8, Biopunk 7, Paulo 6, Gibbo 4, (Lawro 6, Tom 6, Model 7)
Win for Paul, I went for a couple of silly scores which cost me and Biopunk is probably sick he missed 4 games.
Congrats Paul :)
10 weeks left all to play for :)
Back in a couple of days.
