Paul
Why? what have you done :)
DeleteWhich why? Giving city the league, having Hammers to win? Putting 3-1 to Everton even though I knew it would be 2-0, putting Spurs for a draw, when I knew they would lose. I love football, playing it - watching it - talking about it...but sometimes it can be cruel. The only ray of light this week is that my 15yr old daughter has started watching games with me, after 15 hard years of brain washing 😍
DeleteOh yes, lock me in...lol
DeleteFeelng better now Paul :)
DeleteKids!! eldest is an Arsenal fan? despite all those West Ham kits he had to wear when he was young :)
DeleteOther boy went through a phase of being a Leeds fan??? but finally got him thinking the right way :) although he now has to get up early to watch our games at English bars in L.A.

Friday nights catch me out yet again
Gibbo
Tottenham resting players for Ajax by only playing with 9 in the second half, nearly got away with it until Ake's injury time winner.
ReplyDeleteNobody went for Bournemouth so scores as they were.
A good day's footie, even though I'm feeling exhausted about sitting on my bum watching it for 9 hours :)
ReplyDeleteGood wins for West Ham, Palace, Wolves and Liverpool.
Congratulations to Southend for staying up after being 3 minutes from relegation, unlucky West Ham women holding Man City for 50 minutes despite the experience gap.
Day 2 Scores (6 Games)
Lee 7, Biopunk 6, Paul 4, Gibbo 4, Paulo 1, (Lawro 6, Tommy 3, Model -)
Best game of the day Salford vs Eastleigh, Salford winning on penalties after being outplayed by their less well off opponents for most of the game.
ReplyDeleteGood to see Gary and Phil Neville suffering on the sidelines :)
In the Premier League it looks like only Chelsea fancy the Champions league next season?
A rare point for Huddersfield against misfiring Man U, I guess Man Utd's management will be checking for loopholes in Solskjaer's new contract hoping for a cheap way out.
Arsenal also letting Brighton Nil score an equaliser.
Day 3 Scores (9 Games)
Gibbo 8, Biopunk 7, Lee 7, Paul 5, Paulo 2, (Lawro 7, Tommy 3, Model -)
Gibbo takes the lead despite missing Friday, and as all of us bar Biopunk have gone 2-1 tomorrow which means Biopunk cannot be caught at the top of the table even if he loses this week.
What a difference one point can make...
ReplyDeleteWell done Gibbo!
Don't drown your sorrows too deeply Paul, it is only Monday after all. ;)
Poxy Foxes, just as I was screaming at the TV 'STOP BACKING OFF HIM', Kompany duly takes his invitation to shoot. Given that amount of space we would all of had a go. Would we have all hit top bins? Maybe....🤣
DeleteWhat a goal from Kompany, worth winning any game, looked like City were never getting past Leicester's bus until that wonder strike.
ReplyDeleteSurprised that nobody went 1-0 considering recent form.
Week 37 Final Scores (10 Games)
Gibbo 9, Biopunk 8, Lee 8, Paul 6, Paulo 3, (Lawro 8, Tommy 4, Model -)
Congrats Gibbo :)
Congrats Bio on wrapping up the title with one game to go :)
Battle for 2nd is hotting up, Gibbo back in with a chance of stealing the runners up spot after being bottom last week.
Last games on Sunday, all to play for at the top :)
Congrats Bio...been knocking at the door for a while now :)
