Right the plan here is to confuse you all with an extended double week (blame the Premier League) 😕
First up, Week 23 to be played Saturday 18th (8 games) and Sunday 19th (2 games).
Big game here is the Liverpool v Man U return, United the only team to take points off them this season, form says it will be an easy home win but you never know 😆
The bottom 2 face off with Bournemouth dropping like a stone.
West Ham have solved their injured goalkeeper problem by signing an injured goalie?
Watford v Tottenham
Arsenal v Sheff Utd
Brighton v Aston Villa
Man City v Crystal Palace
Norwich v Bournemouth
Southampton v Wolves
West Ham v Everton
Newcastle v Chelsea
Burnley v Leicester
Liverpool v Man Utd
----------------------------------------------------------
Next, Week 24 with 11 games - to be played on Tuesday 21st (6 games), Wednesday 22nd (3 games), Thursday 23rd (1 game) and Wednesday 29th (1 game).
The West Ham v Liverpool re-arranged game has been added to the following week, so it was either start Week 25 early or have Week 24 over run which seemed easier. Hopefully 3 defeats on the spin for Liverpool might bring some life back into the title race (2 chances of that - fat and none) 😒.
Man City will have to be at their best to avoid losing their title by the end of March.
Aston Villa v Watford
Bournemouth v Brighton
Crystal Palace v Southampton
Everton v Newcastle
Sheff Utd v Man City
Chelsea v Arsenal
Leicester v West Ham
Tottenham v Norwich
Man Utd v Burnley
Wolves v Liverpool
West Ham v Liverpool
----------------------------------------------------------
Just to complicate things even more I will be posting the latest round of F.A Cup games in the middle of second week, even though the Watford v Tranmere replay isn't due to be played until Thursday 23rd.
Good Luck All 😃

Tough week, you could argue a lot of these either way. Obviously, my attention is on the game tomorrow. Why we can't just put the Manx to bed is beyond me. Rashford always turns world class against us, so hopefully he remains crocked until Monday. We are at home, so hopefully its business as usual.
Paul
No goal draw to start, poor penalty by Deeney and one of the line for Tottenham.
ReplyDeletePoint each for Gibbo, Paul and Paulo.
A few shocks today, Chelsea losing, Man City dropping more points, Wolves coming back from 2-0 down.
ReplyDeleteI'm still in shock that Southend managed their second win of the season :)

Low scoring week, good day for Lawro.
Overall winner is Lawro, but thanks to the 2-0 I've pipped Paulo in the bit that matters.
Congrats to Me :)

Chelsea v Arsenal 1-1
Leicester v West Ham 0-1

Shock wins for Bournemouth and Villa, incredible comeback for Newcastle, Good away wins by Southampton and Man City, and Arteta's Arsenal using the old Wenger tactic of playing with 10 men to grab a draw at Chelsea.
ReplyDeleteDay 1 Scores (6 Games)
Lee 2, Paulo 2, Biopunk 1, Paul 1, Gibbo 0, (Lawro 3, Steve 2)
Terrible scoring by all, if City hadn't won it would have been worse.
Hopefully better later?
Leicester v West Ham 2-0
ReplyDeleteTottenham v Norwich 2-0
Man Utd v Burnley 1-1
Wolves v Liverpool 0-2
West Ham v Liverpool 0-4
Bit late Paul, but as nothing much happened in the 1st minute I'll let you have it.
DeleteI thought I was early for 7:45, must have been 7:30? Poxy random start times. Loving the Burnley score 🤣
DeleteWest Hammered :( average first half hit by a couple of sucker punches, brought Antonio on at half time and we looked good for 20 minutes but then fell apart, Rice normally good had a nightmare and if Man U still want to buy Diop for £50m we should be gift wrapping him for them.
ReplyDeleteRandolph made some good saves and not to blame for any of the goals including the soft penalty.
More annoyed about the commentators who were kissing Leicester's arse from start to finish ... grrrr!!
In other news :) good win for Burnley and Tottenham scraped past Norwich.
Day 2 Scores (9 Games)
Biopunk 6, Paulo 5, Lee 3, Paul 3, Gibbo 1, (Lawro 7, Steve 4)
Well done Bio for predicting Burnley's first win at Old Trafford in 62 years!!
Still 2 games to go.
Probably the first Liverpool game I've enjoyed watching this season, Wolves really going for it instead of rolling over like most teams.
ReplyDeleteTraore and Jiminez had them on the back foot for a lot of the game, but credit to Liverpool for snatching the winner against the run of play.
Nuno will probably regret taking off the impressive Neto and replacing him with Jota who missed a sitter.
Day 3 Scores (10 Games) - 1 game to go.
Biopunk 6, Paulo 5, Paul 4, Lee 3, Gibbo 2, (Lawro 7, Steve 4)
Well it was an expected defeat and we played a lot better than Saturday (couldn't be worse), but I got the feeling Liverpool were taking it easy after getting their expected penalty.
ReplyDeleteWeek 24 Final Scores (11 Games)
Biopunk 7, Paulo 5, Paul 5, Lee 4, Gibbo 3, (Lawro 7, Steve 4)
Couldn't find a Lawro prediction for tonight so no points for him.
Overall it's a Biopunk and Lawro draw with a measly 7 points from 11 games, but that's more than the rest of us ..... so that's a big congrats to Biopunk :)
