Premier Predictions (Week 31)

Back after that pretty dull international break, with the England games hidden away on Sky I forgot about both of them till the day after, then only saw the 3 minute highlight package.
World Cup draw on Friday (of interest to Biopunk for a change with Canada in the hat).

Premier League (Week 31)
11 games this week, 7 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday, 1 on Monday and 1 on Wednesday.
Liverpool have the chance to go top, although Watford really need points with Burnley and Everton playing twice this week.
Big European week for some so possibly some rested players.

Liverpool v Watford
Brighton v Norwich
Burnley v Man City
Chelsea v Brentford
Leeds v Southampton
Wolves v Aston Villa
Man Utd v Leicester

West Ham v Everton
Tottenham v Newcastle

Crystal Palace v Arsenal

Burnley v Everton

Good Luck All   😀

Yeah, nobody said making history would be easy, but a WC appearance drought of 36 years has been a long, long wait. Feel pretty good about Morocco, Belgium, & Croatia, but I’m now torn between my usual default of ‘Scotland’ or ’Ukraine’ because of "reasons"...

Just read West Ham have only beaten Everton once in the last 14 home games against them, despite usually winning at Goodison? now the burden of my prediction!!

  8. Choices, choices, do I stay with the first Women's game I've watched this season Hammers v Man City? which has been good so far apart from the commentators who describe every long accurate pass from us as a hopeful long ball, but the same pass from City as a superb defence splitting pass?
Or do I go for the Liverpool game where the pundits all wet themselves every time Van Dyke heads the ball.
    :)

  9. Opted for the Liverpool Watford game, Watford were decent but didn't take their chances and Liverpool did.
Liverpool getting their usual penalty when under pressure at the end, was a penalty but so were the other 50 for other teams for the same offence which are never given?

3 points for Bio, point each for most of the rest of us.

  10. Nobody went for Brentford winning 4-1 away at Chelsea? :)
Elsewhere wins for Man City and Wolves, draws in the other 2 games.
Brighton and Norwich break their losing streaks.

  11. Final game draw, Leicester with all their best defenders back for the first time this season.

    Day 1 Scores (7 Games)
    Biopunk 9, Paulo 6, Gibbo 5, Paul 5, Lee 4, (Lawro 7, Jim 3)

  13. Decent performance against a really poor Everton team, brilliant free kick from Cresswell, unlucky own goal from Fornals then Bowen back with a goal. Felt we should have gone on after Keane was sent off but Moyes likes to stick with a lead and went safe.
Now hoping Newcastle can get a win :)

  14. Newcastle took the lead, but then shipped 5 goals :(

    Day 2 Scores (9 Games)
    Biopunk 13, Paul 7, Paulo 7, Gibbo 6, Lee 6, (Lawro 11, Jim 5)

Not totally over yet, but the fat lady will be singing if it doesn't finish 1-1 on Monday.

  15. The way it's going this week, 2-3 seems to be the most likely score ;)

Not even Spurs could drop points from this position, well....

  16. Annoying but Conte seems to have sorted them out, the 2 Juventus signings have improved them.
Top 4 far from over, Chelsea should hold on but the other place is still up for grabs.
Arsenal in the best position but still have to play Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham and Man Utd.

  17. Oh dear, Arsenal proving they are still in that 2nd tier of teams.
Good win for Palace who have really improved under Vieira.

No points for anyone, which means Biopunk can't be caught.
One game left so update on Wednesday.

  18. Burnley coming back to beat Everton, probably too late in the season to sack the manager?

Week 31 Final Scores (11 Games)
    Biopunk 13, Paulo 8, Lee 7, Paul 7, Gibbo 6, (Lawro 11, Jim 5)

Win for Biopunk which keeps it interesting.
    Congrats Biopunk :)

Another Friday start to Week 32
