Premier Predictions (Week 28)

Bumper week of fixtures, 14 at the moment (*subject to change).
7 games on Saturday, 2 Sunday, 1 Monday and now 4 on Thursday.

6 games from Week 30 postponed due to FA Cup now to be crammed into the fixture list somewhere, in addition to the 7 games that already needed re-arranging due to Covid postponements.
All these re-arranged games on Thursdays to suit TV companies making it a bit of a nightmare to separate weeks  😕

Anyway here goes with the provisional weeks fixtures.
The Manc derby is the big one, Man U seem to have the hex over City recently which will suit Liverpool although West Ham are due a good performance? (but I'm sure the refs will make sure there are no shocks there) 😜

Week 28    (Sat 05/03/22 - Thur 10/03/22)

Leicester v Leeds
Aston Villa v Southampton
Burnley v Chelsea
Newcastle v Brighton
Norwich v Brentford
Wolves v Crystal Palace
Liverpool v West Ham
*
Watford v Arsenal
Man City v Man Utd
*
Tottenham v Everton
*
Norwich v Chelsea
Southampton v Newcastle
Wolves v Watford
Leeds v Aston Villa

Good Luck All   😀

Hoping that Man U step up, but unfortunately that's a lot of hope.
West Ham deserved to win last time, we were bullied at set pieces. I haven't seen that West Ham for a while, so will be interesting to see what they do when we arrive expecting the same 😉

    1. Injuries permitting you can predict at least 10 of our starters, which is the problem at the moment. Moyes does not seem to trust a lot of players, meaning those playing are probably knackered and opposition managers know how to set up.
He will name at least 3 kids on the bench but you know none of them will get a game.

Not sure if Paulo's off to Anfield today?
Went up there when I was a teen, wish I'd taken a crash helmet.
Liverpool fans liked to throw things, outside Anfield it was rocks and bricks.
Cans and coins inside the stadium nearly every other time. Main reason I never liked them :(

  8. Leeds unlucky, much improved but didn't take their chances and Leicester did.
3 for Gibbo, point each for most of us.

  9. Decent performance, worried Liverpool for the whole game.
No Rice but didn't seem to be missed, worrying injury for Bowen from Robertson's tackle.
Shame Dawson's shirt sleeve wasn't an inch shorter than Mane's :(
Lanzini was brilliant apart from his miss in the 2nd half :(

Elsewhere a few surprise results with Villa and Chelsea both scoring 4, and Brentford winning.

    Day 1 Scores (7 Games)
    Gibbo 6, Lee 6, Paul 4, Biopunk 3, Paulo 2, (Lawro 5, Johnny 7)

  11. You can add that to the list of apologies we are owed from Mike Riley this week, I guess you only get them if you have Russian owners?

    Southampton Wednesday
1 Swinging elbow cutting open Soucek's head, not even a free kick
2 Dawson being fouled by Broja before the penalty, VAR only looking at the final tackle
3 Blatant handball on edge of Saints penalty area, ignored and they run down the other end and score 3rd
    Yesterday
Over the top tackle and elbow on Fornals, neither a booking. Dawson gets booked for an attempted tackle which didn't even bring the player down.

Not that I'm bitter or anything :)
Sullivan and co. obviously not greasing the right palms.
