Premier Predictions (Week 38)

Here we go it's the final week, the title decider  πŸ†

In the big one - Only a win can give Biopunk the title, Paul has an 80% chance of hanging on.

Elsewhere Man City can wrap up the league if they beat Villa, Liverpool hoping their old boys can do them a favour.
At the bottom Leeds need to better Burnley's result to stay up, or win by about 25 goals to guarantee it
Battle for 4th should go to Tottenham unless they blow it against relegated Norwich, although Arsenal winning is not a given.
West Ham hoping Palace do them a favour by beating Man Utd for the final Europa league place, although it has been 10 years since we last beat Brighton, and never done it in 9 Premier league games  😒

Also it is supposed to be the final set of Mark Lawrenson predictions this week as he's giving it up.
So I expect a Liverpool win, a West Ham loss and lots of 2-0's.
Looks like he has beaten all of us again so we will need someone else to test ourselves against if we continue next season.
Not sure if someone else will take over?

Anyway here goes the final 10, all kick off at 4pm on Sunday

Arsenal v Everton
Brentford v Leeds
Brighton v West Ham
Burnley v Newcastle
Chelsea v Watford
Crystal Palace v Man Utd
Leicester v Southampton
Liverpool v Wolves
Man City v Aston Villa
Norwich v Tottenham

Good Luck All   πŸ˜€

  1. For the record Here are the final ever set of predictions by BBC 'expert' Mark Lawrenson, no guest this week.

    Arsenal v Everton 2-1
    Brentford v Leeds 2-1
    Brighton v West Ham 1-1
    Burnley v Newcastle 1-1
    Chelsea v Watford 2-0
Crystal Palace v Man Utd 0-2
    Leicester v Southampton 2-0
    Liverpool v Wolves 2-0
Man City v Aston Villa 3-0
    Norwich v Tottenham 0-2

Only 5 x 2-0's and he reckons West Ham might draw (probably a safe bet as the last 6 games have ended up that way).

Last push, not expecting Liverpool to win the league today, although will be wearing my lucky undefeated Liverpool shirt. Not sure of its true powers yet...I did quickly put it on when Mahrez took his penalty(2 nil up πŸ™„), and was wearing it when City lost to Spurs. Not sure if it is a powerful as the Luckyman bracelet, but the wife has taken notice of its powers 🀣

Thanks Lee for another good competition and Good Luck Bio

  4. The only time I can remember lucky clothing working was way back in 1980, I used to wear a dark blue donkey jacket which I had worn for every match in our cup run that season.
It was totally inappropriate for a hot day out at Wembley but did it because of the superstition, and it worked :)
Lucky shirts etc haven't really worked since :(

Anyway on with the matter at hand, good luck to Bio and Paul.
Should leave you two to it, but I'm on a wining streak just a shame it won't quite be the best comeback ever if I can take a 3rd week on the trot.

    Arsenal v Everton 1-1
    Brentford v Leeds 1-2
Brighton v West Ham 1-2 ... please, please
    Burnley v Newcastle 2-2
    Chelsea v Watford 3-0
Crystal Palace v Man Utd 2-0
    Leicester v Southampton 2-1
    Liverpool v Wolves 4-0

  6. No Paulo, might be on the south coast?

    Half time
Annoying, only one working stream which is stop/start and delayed, keeping check on other scores saw that West Ham had scored about 3 minutes before I saw it.
Lively at top of the table, shock Wolves goal early on then Liverpool equalising.
Man City going a goal down, my fault for taking Cash out of my fantasy team as I expected Man City to score a few :)
Tottenham and Arsenal 2 goals up.
Burnley a goal down, Leeds level meaning Burnley in the bottom 3.
Man Utd losing, West Ham winning 45 nerve jangling minutes to go.

  7. Damp squib from West Ham, with Man Utd losing 6th was in their hands but Brighton keep that bogey team tag going :(

    In the big matches

    Top
Man City come from 2 down to beat Villa with 3 goals in 5 minutes near the end. Liverpool leave it late to beat Wolves but not enough.

    Bottom
Burnley lose at home, Leeds win at 9 man Brentford to stay up.

    top 4
Tottenham and Arsenal both score 5, meaning Tottenham go into "champions" league.

Chelsea and Leicester win the other games.

Man City champions after it looked like they had bottled it.
Burnley going down, I liked Sean Dyche but as he's gone so be it.
