Premier Predictions (Week 38)

The final week, and the title is still on the line πŸ˜€

Not in the Premier league where Man City are champions, and the top 4 confirmed and 6 of the 7 European places are sorted.
Aston Villa, Tottenham and Brentford still in with a chance of making the Conference league.

Main battles on Sunday are the final relegation places.
Everton with the advantage, just need a home win over safe Bournemouth.
Leicester and Leeds need to win and hope, both might expect to as Leeds play Tottenham who might not want Conference league after their humiliation 2 years ago, and Leicester will hope West Ham are thinking about the Euro final in 10 days time.

Big game at Wembley Saturday as two "blast from the past" teams Coventry and Luton play off for the final place in next seasons Premier league.

Anyway, thanks everyone for playing along this season (hope Biopunk is OK) and unless you all say "enough is enough" I'll do it all again next season?  πŸ˜‰

10 games all on Sunday, 4:30pm kick offs

Arsenal v Wolves
Aston Villa v Brighton
Brentford v Man City
Chelsea v Newcastle
Crystal Palace v Nottm Forest
Everton v Bournemouth
Leeds v Tottenham
Leicester v West Ham
Man Utd v Fulham
Southampton v Liverpool

Good Luck All  πŸ˜ƒ

  7. Final day done.
Everton stay up after scraping past Bournemouth 1-0
Leicester beat West Ham but not enough.
Leeds thrashed by Tottenham, great farewell goal by Moura at the end.
Villa do enough to grab 7th beating Brighton, Brentford unlucky after beating Man City again.
Arsenal hit 5 against Wolves, Man Utd come back to beat Fulham.
Draws between Chelsea nad Newcastle and Palace and Forest.
Best game of the day Southampton v Liverpool 4-4, Liverpool 2 up in 15 minutes then 4-2 down after 65, then 2 goals in 2 mins to level.

    ----

Week 38 Final Scores (10 Games)
    Lee 8, Paulo 7, Paul 5, Gibbo 4, (Sutton 10, Bryan 4, Model 3)

Overall a win for Chris Sutton.

I didn't want to check scores as I saw Paul and Paulo got the Everton result, and my blind faith in West Ham had cost me points
But our winner is me by one point.
    So self congratulation :)

The overall title is mine by courtesy of 8 wins and one extra draw.
Unlucky Paul, 2nd year on the trot losing it on last day.

Not quite finished as if anyone still wants to predict the Cup final next week I'll post that soon.
But a League and Cup double is wrapped up.

Still 4 big games to come in the next 2 weeks.
FA Cup final and the 3 European trophies, c'mon you Irons :)

  9. Thanks Paul
Thought I was going to do an Arsenal having led for 29 weeks during the season.
Winning those last 2 weeks was a bit nerve wracking :D
