Premier Predictions (Week 01)

(Drum Roll) ....  🥁
Here we go again the Premier League is back, so if anybody is still interested here we go with the 14th NBTF Premier Predictions competition (2023-24 Edition).

Hopefully the regular players will be back and anyone reading this blog is welcome to join in at any point, just let me know a name and club supported so I can give you some colours.

It looks like there are going to be lots of Friday night games which muck up this and fantasy football, plus hundreds of re-arranged for TV games over the season. 😠

T&C's - Usual rules apply
3 Points for a correct score, 1 Point for a correct result.
Predictions League will be decided on weekly wins first, if 2 or more people share a weekly win that will be classed as a draw, if at the end things are still level the total points for the season come into play.
Predictions in the comments please
😀
Obviously predictions will only count if they are made before the kick offs, please try and post the whole set at once (but I won't enforce it as these Friday night games catch everyone out including me).

Prizes - Just the admiration of everyone who plays

I guess the comments problem is still going on? so if your comment does not post straight away don't worry it should be in my comment moderation box as it assumes every post is spam.
Will publish as soon as I check.

Thought I would try to involve the model from the start, I have used last seasons data for the predictions and used West Ham as the benchmark for all the promoted teams - which is ironic, as the only game they are predicted to win is the one that they are taking part in :)

    1. As it goes pretty accurate, West Ham nearly always lose to Brighton and Man City and draw with Palace

  8. Not sure what happened to Biopunk? missed the last 5 weeks of last season after being a regular for over 10 years.
Hopefully he's ok but don't have any contact details for him.

Anyway season underway, Haaland taking just 3 minutes to start scoring again.
3-0 to City means a point each to all playing

  9. Wins for Arsenal, Brighton, Newcastle, Palace and Fulham.
West Ham opening with a draw after a late Bournemouth equaliser.
    Newcastle pretty impressive.

    Day 2 Scores (7 Games)
    Gibbo 5, Lee 4, Paul 4, Paulo 4, (Sutton 10, Anthony J 6, Eddie H 7, Model 5)
Sutton straight on form, only the one 3 pointer for us from Gibbo.

  11. Ooh is that Bio I see there ...

Win for Man Utd despite being totally outplayed and O'nana flattening the Wolves striker for yet another non penalty when it obviously was?

Week 1 Final Scores (10 Games)
    Paul 9, Gibbo 7, Lee 5, Paulo 5, (Sutton 11, Anthony Joshua 12, Eddie Hearn 11, Model 6)

Overall Sutton and his guests thrashed us, with Anthony Joshua getting 12 points
In the bit that counts it's a win for Paul with 9
    Congrats Paul :)

Another Friday night start next week :(
