Premier Predictions (Week 26)

Midweek games for Week 26
A bit of a messed up week as it goes on for 8 days due to a re-arranged game in the following week.
So that is 4 games on Tuesday 10th, 5 games on Wednesday 11th, 1 game on Thursday 12th + 1 game on Wednesday 18th
In the middle of this is the FA Cup 4th Round (separate post for that).
Hope that's clear?

Arsenal with the chance to pull further clear with 2 away games, or possibly City could put the pressure on?
At the bottom We (West Ham) usually beat Man Utd at home, but they are flying under Carrick so not feeling confident.
Really need 6 wins from the last 13 games, and 8 of those are against top 10 teams 🙄
Forest take on Wolves, and Palace are at home to Burnley so the gap could get bigger. 😞

Chelsea v Leeds
Everton v Bournemouth
Tottenham v Newcastle
West Ham v Man Utd
*
Aston Villa v Brighton
Crystal Palace v Burnley
Man City v Fulham
Nottm Forest v Wolves
Sunderland v Liverpool
*
Brentford v Arsenal
*
Wolves v Arsenal

Good Luck All  😀

  6. Gutted, Fergie time equaliser for Man Utd, Great game for 95 minutes.
Away wins for Bournemouth and Newcastle, Leeds coming back from 2 down at Chelsea.

    Day 1 Scores (4 games)
    Paul 3, Paulo 3, Lee 1, (Sutton 3, Ian 0, BBC-AI 3, Model 0)

All 3 pointers except mine :(

  7. At least I got one pre-season prediction right :)
"Thomas Frank in for a short term bank boost, leaving the safety of Brentford to drop down the league to take over at Tottenham. Hopefully for him the redundancy package will make it worth it."
Shame I like him, better he goes to a more likeable club maybe Palace at the end of the season?

  8. Man City looked like they were going to score 10 but went totally off the boil at 3?
Late own goal for Villa to beat Brighton.
Wolves hold Forest to 0-0 :)
Palace 2 up to Burnley who then hit 3 in 5 minutes before half time to win.
Liverpool hang on to win after the own goal.

    Day 2 Scores (9 games)
    Paul 10, Paulo 6, Lee 3, (Sutton 5, Ian 2, BBC-AI 8, Model 2)

2 games left, but looks like Paul might get his first win in 2026
I might as well give up :(

  9. Arsenal scraping a draw at Brentford, lots of last ditch tackles to survive.
A bit worrying for me as I'd made Gabriel ny captain in a 2 game FPL week, and really he should have been sent off by the booj happy ref?

    Day 3 Scores (10 games)
    Paul 11, Paulo 6, Lee 3, (Sutton 5, Ian 2, BBC-AI 8, Model 2)
Paul's going to win but will have to wait till next Wednesday for confirmation.

Random thought during game - during my years of going to games (70's - 2015) I went to every other London ground, but have never been to Brentford

  11. Imagine they've all changed a lot in the years since I've been :)
The Valley had that enormous concrete terrace, Cold Blow lane was in the middle of a wasteland with crap floodlights.
Always liked Loftus Road and Craven Cottage as we always seemed to have more fans than the home team :)

  12. The valley totally changed they built stand on that terrace qpr not changed and Fulham has an enormous stand that no one can afford!!
Millwall moved 50 yards but still a bomb site lol
    Cheers
