Premier Predictions (Week 11)

This weeks games over 3 days with 7 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and 1 on Monday.

Obvious big game is the early kick off on Saturday between this seasons big under-achievers Chelsea and Liverpool.
Chelsea with just 5 wins from 16 games including 8 defeats, and Liverpool with just 4 wins from 14 games (or 2 from the last 12 including a penalties win over Carlisle).
Could be Mourinho's last big stand? and it won't help that Costa went off injured tonight.
Man City should win, but all the other games on Saturday are hard to call.
Sunday sees a South Coast derby, which the Saints should win.
Monday should be an easy 3 points for Tottenham against Managerless Villa.

Chelsea v Liverpool
C Palace v Man Utd
Man City v Norwich
Newcastle v Stoke
Swansea v Arsenal
Watford v West Ham
West Brom v Leicester

Everton v Sunderland
Southampton v Bournemouth

Tottenham v Aston Villa

Here's an update on the full predictions table, with all the facts and figures :)

Hopefully this week will fair better for me. The prediction chiefs will be asking for my resignation soon.
I'm going for a Liverpool win today, even though the Chelsea that won the league last year will turn up to play Liverpool - for one week only. I wonder if the West Ham players realise that their fate this weekend depends on which way you have predicted the result Lee?

  7. Not just me Paul, so called "football expert" Mark Lawrenson has predicted West Ham to lose nearly every game this season (he's gone for a Watford 2-0 win today). So far our negativity is working brilliantly :)
I hope the Hammers win, but I'm guessing Watford will set up to defend and 0-0 is most likely unless we can nick an early goal.
I think Chelsea might come out on top mainly because Liverpool once again haven't got a striker? although Clattenburg is the ref and over the years he really looks like a Liverpool fan, so Mourinho might be whining again?
But I could be totally wrong (as usual) :)

  8. Chucked a quid on the draw at 1-0, so far so good :)

  9. Point for Paul, and lost my quid oh well.
Didn't really care who won until the Lucas incident, Mikel was already going down before the clash and then the Chelsea players were all running round trying to get him sent off (including Costa who should have already been sent off). After that I really hoped Liverpool won :)

  10. Just the one 3 pointer between us this week, sadly Bio's West Ham prediction :(
Brings to an end my record, so at least I can go back to predicting West Ham to win.
Unlucky for Paulo when Man City missed the last minute penalty.

    Day 1 Scores (7 Games)
    Biopunk 5, Lee 4, Longy 4, John 3, Paul 3, Paulo 3, (Lawro 5)

Apart from Paul and Paulo going for a draw in the Saints game, we've all gone for home wins all the way in the next 3, so it's going to be a close week :)

  11. Not as close as I thought.

    Day 2 Scores (9 Games)
    Biopunk 9, Lee 6, Longy 6, John 5, Paul 4, Paulo 4, (Lawro 9)
As we've all gone for a home win tomorrow Biopunk has won with a day to spare.
So early congrats to Biopunk :)
Will update the table after tomorrow's game.

  12. Final Scores Week 11
    Biopunk 10, John 8, Lee 7, Longy 7, Paulo 7, Paul 5, (Lawro 10)

    Congrats to Biopunk :)
Mark Lawrenson also got 10, but he doesn't count in this competition because he's a paid professional tipster.
Unlucky to Longy and Me who both got 7 results without managing a 3 pointer :(
Biopunk now leads the table on alphabetical order, but all pretty close.

    1. Curse Harry Kane and his last minute goal.

    2. I was thinking that at the time, but it still would only have given me 9 points so makes no difference :)
