Premier Predictions (Week 17)

Straight on with this weekends fixtures, the last set before the Christmas program.
6 Games on Saturday, 3 on Sunday and the Merseyside derby on Monday night.
Can Chelsea make it 11 on the trot at Palace? City v Arsenal should have been the big game apart from a couple of bad defeats for both in the last week.
Can West Ham build on the thrashing of Burnley :) and pull away from the bottom 3?

C Palace v Chelsea
Middlesbrough v Swansea
Stoke v Leicester
Sunderland v Watford
West Ham v Hull
West Brom v Man Utd

Bournemouth v Southampton
Man City v Arsenal
Tottenham v Burnley

Everton v Liverpool

Good Luck All and a Very Merry Christmas :)

I will try and sort out the Christmas / New Year games this week, which will probably cover weeks 18, 19 and 20 played over a 10 day period.

    The Model

Looks like some value on home bets this week. Model thinks that Stoke should be nearer 1.50 (2.70 bet365) to win at home and Bournemouth 1.98 (3.0 Bet365). Also thinks that West Brom should be around the 2.63 mark (6.0 bet365)

Calculates Burnley has 0% chance of winning at Spurs, at 14/1 so do the bookies :)

  5. C Palace v Chelsea 0-2
    Middlesbrough v Swansea 1-0
    Stoke v Leicester 1-0
    Sunderland v Watford 2-0
West Ham v Hull 2-0 (History would suggest the Hammers Have this one!!)
West Brom v Man Utd 1-1 (1.7 is so short for the away win, deep down want to West Brom....)

    Bournemouth v Southampton 1-0
Man City v Arsenal 2-1 (0-0 would be the ideal score)

Tottenham v Burnley 3-0 (0% Model - No such thing as 0% in football - worth backing Burnley, then cash-out if they managed to get an early goal)

    Everton v Liverpool 0-2 (C'mon you Reds)

  6. I really want us to trash Hull but as we haven't managed to score 3 in our last 22 games it's unlikely :(
My fantasy teams are hoping for a Tottenham clean sheet, but I would have a chuckle if Burnley won :)

    Longy where are you?

  8. Woo Hoo thrashed Hull off the park with a dodgy penalty and strong posts :)

    Early Scores (5 Games)
    Lee 7, Biopunk 5, Paul 4, Paulo 3, Longy -, (Lawro 3, Lawro's Guest 6, Paul's Model 4)

  9. Day 1 Scores (6 Games)
    Lee 7, Biopunk 6, Paul 4, Paulo 3, Longy 1, (Lawro 6, Lawro's Guest 7, Paul's Model 4)

  10. Day 2 Scores (9 Games)
    Biopunk 10, Lee 8, Paul 8, Paulo 4, Longy 2, (Lawro 7, Lawro's Guest 11, Paul's Model 5)

All 3 contenders have gone for a Liverpool win so Biopunk is guaranteed at least a share, but we've all gone for different scores.
For the record Lawro's guest is Boris Backer who is doing pretty well so far.

  11. Just seen an e-mail from Paul (who is keeping a close eye on me) :)
A couple of errors pointed out (which is not too bad considering I've typed in 1,190 predictions this season), so Longy gains a point in week 9 and Paulo loses a point in week 11 :( luckily neither made a difference to the wins in those weeks :)
Thanks Paul for checking, I'll try to keep my fingers under control :)

  12. 1-0 to Liverpool :) take that all day long

  13. Week 17 Final Scores
    Biopunk 11, Lee 9, Paul 9, Paulo 4, Longy 2, (Lawro 7, Lawro's Guest 11, Paul's Model 8)

So the late late show from Liverpool means it's 11 points each for Biopunk and Lawro's guest Boris Becker, meaning of course it's a win for Biopunk.
    Congrats to Biopunk :)
