Just 2 weeks to go and Biopunk needs to win both to stop Paul from claiming a League and Cup double.
We have a Mega week this time with 15 games (1½ weeks worth).

Just looking at the Lawro predictions website (they don't have his re-arranged fixtures predictions either) so he's missed out on 7 games this season.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Lawro?
Liverpool should be 5 points clear of Chelsea at the top and still unbeaten (what a shock) :)
Hull and Boro are already relegated with Swansea and Watford fighting over the last space, Sunderland are 14th, 9 points clear of relegation.

Getting a bit worried my record score might go this week?
ReplyDeleteNo sign of any Lawro + guest predictions for the last 5 games yet.
Day 2 of 7 (7 Games)
Lee 8, Paul 8, Biopunk 7, Paulo 7, Longy 5, (Lawro 7, Lawro's Guest 7, Paul's Model 4)
Hoping that West Ham have already left for the beach now that they are safe from the championship. ⛱
ReplyDeleteOn recent history it should be one of our easier games, but we've lost even more players to injury this week so will be struggling to find a first XI.
DeleteHopefully some of the replacements have a point to prove :)
Palace stay up, Hull go down with a whimper.
ReplyDeletePoint each for me and Paul, C'mon you Irons :)
C'Mon you Reds...😲
ReplyDeleteGoaaaaaaaallll!!⚽
ReplyDeleteHammers playing like a team on the beach, but should have been level after Ayew managed to hit the post twice from 3 foot out?
ReplyDeleteWould of fancied my chances from there 😰 not good for my nerves
Delete👋🤔
DeleteEmbarrassing, Noble and Kouyate keep the team going but without them we look lost :(
DeleteBollocks :(
ReplyDeleteand a point each for Paul and Longy to rub salt in the wounds.
Not a good day for me, but this week looks like a close thing?
ReplyDeleteDay 3 of 7 (10 Games)
Paul 11, Biopunk 10, Lee 9, Paulo 8, Longy 6, (Lawro 10, Lawro's Guest 8, Paul's Model 6)
Hmmmm... 🤔
DeleteIf I tie with Lee only this week, I can still tie Paul the next... 🤔
You can draw Bio....the various scenarios that can unfold:-
DeleteYou Draw with anyone this week - I win
You Draw with anyone next week - I win
You win this week and draw next week - I win
If I win anytime - I win
You win this week and next week - you win
Lee's rules are harsh...I still can't believe that I have 9 out of 10 results so far this week and you are still there in the rear view mirror.
Actually not sure how the goal difference works?
DeleteCan see your thinking on drawing this week, winning next week. Hopefully goal difference is not based on high score.
Chelsea vs Watford 4-0
DeleteThe Model
Wish I could have seen today's match, I'd only saw the half-time score and was hoping it'd stay that way!
DeleteSome clarification Paul, from Lee's Tuesday 9 August 2016 post:
"Usual rules apply - 3 Points for a correct score, 1 Point for a correct result.
Predictions League will be decided on weekly wins first, if 2 or more people share a weekly win that will be classed as a draw, if at the end things are still level the toal points for the season come into play."
So you ARE looking pretty good to win the double. 😡
Harsh? never :)
DeletePaul's summary is correct now, it was possible for Bio to win overall with a win and a draw if he outscored Paul by 54 points over the last 2 weeks (25 games = 75 points up for grabs).
Current position (11 games gone in week 37) means there are only a maximum of 42 points left to win, so .... Bio needs 2 weekly wins to come out on top ..... phew!!!
Just re-posting the rules for clarity :)
Delete3 Points for a correct score, 1 point for a correct result (Home, away, draw), 0 points if game is postponed.
The League table will be decided on -
1st Outright weekly wins,
2nd Shared wins,
3rd Total points scored.
Chelsea v Watford 2-1 can't imagine Conte playing best 11
ReplyDeleteExciting game by Chelsea's reserves giving Chelsea fans a nail biting finish for a change :)

lock-em in, final predictions of penultimate week !!
Paul
and on it goes, Paul probably wishing he'd done a large combination bet on these 13 games (or maybe he has and is getting richer by the day?)
ReplyDeleteDay 5 of 7 (13 Games)
Lee 14, Paul 14, Biopunk 13, Paulo 11, Longy 9, (Lawro 10*, Lawro's Guest 8*, Paul's Model 11)
I'm not feeling at all confident, and still worried over my 18 point record so praying Vardy has saved something special for Thursday night.
Biopunk don't forget the last 2 as your still right in the running
Ahead on an Arsenal win? Will wonders never cease!
DeleteMy only blip this week was down to the Saints, now I have all by eggs in the Saints basket once again. Hopefully Man U only bring their 'C' Team.
DeleteDay 6 of 7 (14 Games)
ReplyDeleteLee 15, Paul 14, Biopunk 13, Longy 12, Paulo 11, (Lawro 10*, Lawro's Guest 8*, Paul's Model 11)
Saints letting Paul down again, still open this week :)
I'm hoping Tottenham are thinking of the beach now they are guaranteed 2nd, and Leicester need to give a "Champions" performance for their fans.
Bio's playing it cagey so still in with a chance if the game doesn't finish 2-1 to either team.
This is more exciting than the Premier League hehe :)
Finally found the Lawro predictions for this week, and he has an extra 4 points with tonights game to come.
DeleteWell got the final result wrong in style :(
ReplyDeleteGood week though and gutted I only got a draw (at least my FPL team had a good week)
Final scores of marathon week 37
Day 7 of 7 (15 Games)

Congrats to me and Paul (and Lawro) :)
Sadly that means the competition has been won before the final week, so congrats to Paul :)
Lee 14, Paul 14, Biopunk 13, Paulo 11, Longy 9, (Lawro 10*, Lawro's Guest 8*, Paul's Model 11)
Good Game week guys. Can now stop worrying about the title and concentrate on my legacy 300+ score ;)
DeleteAt least your 18 HS remains intact Lee. If only Saints had scored that penalty, Walcott didn't pass to the keeper instead of shooting, in the Ninetieth minute.....
Well done Paul! ⚽️🏆
DeleteMade for an intense final few weeks on the NBTF blog.
(That said, you're still going down in flames with your Sunday predictions!)
Haha fighting talk :)
DeleteI'm desperate for a win to finish above Longy (fingers crossed)
Paul you should enter FISO Goals, 303 would have put you joint 3rd.
DeleteI totally forgot about it this season after a top 30 finish last season.
I'll try that again without the last line .. oops :)

Sadly that means the competition has been won before the final week, so congrats to Paul :)
Shame Lawro missed 7 games as I think he would have over 300 as well? but well done anyway :)
Message to self for next season - don't expect West Ham to win every week and Tottenham to lose :)
DeleteWell done paul and look over your shoulder coz I will be used to the new stadium fitter players striker that can score etc lol thanks again lee for making this such a please try distraction from the real thing
