Premier Predictions (Week 35)

Here we go with another mega week of 14 games over 5 days.
6 matches on Saturday, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 each on Tuesday and Wednesday.

If Liverpool and City win their games the lead will change 5 times in 8 days .... IF?
Man City and Tottenham go at it again Saturday lunchtime if they've got anything left after last night's amazing game.
On Sunday Cardiff might give Liverpool a game as they still have an outside chance of staying up?
Brighton have 2 tough away games and on recent form they will lose badly.
Wednesday night is the Manc derby which looks like City's toughest game on the run in, but would United fans be upset if they lost?? 😉
The 3rd to 6th place teams still have plenty to play for.

In the competition with just 4 weeks left and a Biopunk win would just about wrap it up, but none of us are out of it yet.

  1. This weeks Lawro guest is a super computer called RED, so we can see if Reading university's complex model can beat Paul's less complex model? and see if human instinct can beat logic :)

    1. I really hope the Man city score is incorrect. 1-1 will make my day 🤞😁

    2. The Computers have spoken, City win.
2-0 from RED is like 6-0 from a human :)

    3. Although RED took into account how far both teams travelled to the game, I bet it didn't taken into account the nature in which City left the Champions League, the fact that the City players will wake up in the middle of the night screaming for the next two years, or the many hours of therapy for their PTSD. Remember the invincibles when they lost to Man U....hopefully this will be the same 🤞🤣

    4. You forget that City actually won the game, but only lost the tie thanks to a 50/50 VAR handball decision, so that sense of injustice must be factored in.
Also I 'm guessing the computer didn't think Foden would stsrt or score :)

  7. Not even the super 1-0 computer went for that score, 1 point each for everyone except Paul.
So you fill up your Fantasy teams with regular Man City midfielders then Foden scores and DeBruyne gets injured again ... sigh :(
Just seen Wilshere is on the bench for us, must be a misprint :)

  9. No logic to these results, rubbish Brighton keep a clean sheet at Wolves, relegated Fulham make it 2 wins on the trot and Bournemouth who hit 5 away last week can't score against the worst defence in the league?
West Ham robbed again after having another good goal ruled out for offside :(
Perez doing more in 15 minutes than Arnautovic managed in the whole game, shame Perez is rubbish when he starts a game?

    Early scores (5 Games)
    Lee 4, Gibbo 3, Biopunk 2, Paulo 2, Paul 1, (Lawro 1, RED 2, Model 2)

Newcastle v Southampton to come, c'mon the Saints :)

  10. Good game to finish today, good first half for Newcastle, all Southampton second half.
A great hat-trick for Perez, a good finisher when he gets in the right position which doesn't happen too often.

    Day 1 scores (6 Games)
    Gibbo 4, Lee 4, Biopunk 2, Paul 2, Paulo 2, (Lawro 2, RED 3, Model 3)

  11. Relegation form from Man utd, I expect the "Ole Out" campaign to start soon after 6 defeats in 8 games and the only wins in those games down to dubious refereeing.
Shock defeat for Arsenal who were on a 9 game winning run at home.
Liverpool just doing enough against Cardiff, nice goal from Wijnaldum after being left alone in front of goal to pick his spot, and the inevitable Liverpool penalty. Cardiff missed 2 sitters so are odds on to get relegated.

    Day 2 scores (9 Games)
    Gibbo 5, Lee 5, Paul 4, Biopunk 3, Paulo 2, (Lawro 5, RED 7, Model 4)

No record scores this week, and the super computer is leading the way.

  12. None of the "top 4" chasers seem to want it? just a point for Chelsea after defeats for Arsenal, Tottenham and Man Utd.
Everybody went for a Chelsea win so no points tonight, luckily there are extra games this week as so far it's the lowest scoring week of the season :(

    The Model

See the model has decided to copy me. It's the stress of RED

    ReplyDelete
  16. RED has retired while in the lead, Lawro has a new guest for the last 4 games singer Ten Tonnes (I'd never heard of him, but just had a listen and he's ok).

Tonight - a late winner for Tottenham, Brighton much improved but still can't score.
Southampton score the quickest Prem goal ever in 7 seconds but Watford equalise in the last minute.

    Day 4 scores (12 Games)
    Gibbo 9, Lee 9, Paulo 6, Paul 5, Biopunk 4, (Lawro 9, RED 7, Ten Tonnes 4, Model 6)

Another win for Lawro with 11 points, in our competition it's a 10 point draw for Gibbo and Myself.
    Congrats to Us :)

Advantage Bio with a 2 win lead with 3 to go, but the fat lady isn't singing yet :)
