  2. West Ham are really coming across as a Mickey Mouse club at the moment.
Transfer window has been a calamity, Soucek was already here so they couldn't screw that one up.
2 of the best kids sold Diangana and then Cullen (for a pittance), Wilshere pensioned off, Anderson gone on loan.
Ajeti sold at a loss after not getting games, already got 5 goals in 6 games at Celtic.
One decent signing the Czech right back on the cheap, plus Dawson on loan (relegated with WBA and Watford in the last 2 seasons).
Now the Bananarama saga? deal was supposed to be done £25m now we're waiting on some last minute wheeler dealing to get him on loan after some problem with the medical?? from the team that passed Wilshere and Carroll .... sigh!!!

  4. Lawro's random guest this week is Rema who it says is a singer, rapper, Afrobeat star and Man Utd fan?

In 190 games predicted by the 5 of us we have managed only 7 correct scores, with the way the scores are going I don't expect much this week either. Possibly another goal fest or just maybe some defensive training has taken place ... who knows :)

    Everton v Liverpool 3-2
    Chelsea v Southampton 3-1
    Man City v Arsenal 3-2
    Newcastle v Man Utd 2-1
    Sheff Utd v Fulham 2-0
    Crystal Palace v Brighton 1-1
Tottenham v West Ham 1-2 (Keep the faith, if we're losing send Moyes home)
    Leicester v Aston Villa 2-2
    West Brom v Burnley 1-2
    Leeds v Wolves 4-3

    Probably all end up 0-0!!!!

    1. Conspiracy theories are all the rage these days, so here goes :)
End of the transfer window, we've signed nobody after all the fake promises and the GSBOUT movement is getting stronger, announce an exciting transfer to get people talking about something else even though he doesn't fit the positions that need strengthening.
Make it appear it's a done deal then all of a sudden mystery medical failure of player who played 40 games last season and played 3 days ago, "sorry we tried to buy someone" cue very angry reaction from fans. "Tell them we'll try and get him on loan, Brentford won't accept that, oh shit! they did as long as we pay them next summer". "Oh well we will gone by then and the new owners will have to pick up the bill".

Oh Dear, looks like I have gone goal-fest. Not looking forward to the Derby today. may as well put Big Virg in goal.
Think the score could be literally anything.

I was going to go with West Ham today, but unfortunately, the negativity from the Home support on here has put me right off 🤣

Good luck everyone, let the goals begin !!

    1. Liverpool have dumped Gomez so improved their chances, just tell Adrian to hoof the ball every time it comes near him and he'll be alright. Although would love to see Everton get 7 :)

Spuds v Hammers is totally unpredictable, Hammers have good record there and only lost last season to an own goal and one of the few goals allowed after the attacking team handballed it in the build up.
Could be an away win or Kane and Son could run riot.

  7. I haven't updated the model yet, not sure how to integrate the 'R' rate into the algorithms 😷🤒🤯

  8. First game done 2-2, and 3 points each for Biopunk and Paulo.
The late Liverpool winner looked onside but VAR says it was 0.0001mm offside?
Pickford making a big impact on the game with some great saves and taking Van Dyke out, could have been a red card but a tougher ref might have already given Van Dyke 2 yellow cards for bad fouls so levels up.
Mo Salah scored when I didn't think he was still on the pitch, probably his only touch of the half.

  9. Another strange day in the Premier league!!
Man Utd score 3 late goals for an unexpected win, but all played well even Harry Maguire.
Man City's ropey defence keep the only clean sheet, Chelsea's ropey defence stayed ropey.

    Day 1 Scores (4 Games)
    Biopunk 4, Paulo 4, Lee 1, Paul 1, Gibbo 0, (Lawro 2, Rema 0)

  10. Send Moyes home now!!
Actually playing really well after the early shocks, main thing spoiling it apart from the score is Tottenham players throwing themselves on the floor every time someone breathes on them :(

Earlier games both 1-1, Brighton had 20 shots to Palace's one should have been an easy away win.
