Premier Predictions (Week 07)

Another 4 day week starting on Friday.
One game Friday, 3 on Saturday, 4 on Sunday and 2 more on Monday.
Saturday games look the best with Sheffield and Burnley winless at home to Man City and Chelsea who both play in Europe either side of this.
Hopefully Antonio will be fit for the Hammers against Liverpool.
Man U v Arsenal was a big game 10 years ago now it's a bottom half game, and the other 2 winless teams play each other on Monday.

Wolves v Crystal Palace
Sheff Utd v Man City
Burnley v Chelsea
Liverpool v West Ham
Aston Villa v Southampton
Newcastle v Everton
Man Utd v Arsenal
Tottenham v Brighton
Fulham v West Brom
Leeds v Leicester

Good Luck All  πŸ˜€

Unrelated good news, Southend managed to pay their latest tax bill so are saved until the next bill. Currently the strongest team in the EFL holding the other 91 teams up 😒

Also good to see European football this week with fans in the stadiums (I remember those days).

    1. Fantastic, good to see you and Paulo sticking to the golden rule.
Fortuneatly we have one of our two irreplaceable players back, so I still have hope. If you want to borrow Adrian for this game, its fine, Milner can fill in for Becker if the worst happens😁

  8. Win for Man City but they are frustrating to watch, like Arsenal under Wenger playing 95 passes trying for the perfect goal when I'm sure if they were more direct they could have won this easily.
    3 pointer for Biopunk.

  9. Wow, what has happened to Haller. Really thought he was a great signing, even more shocking that the commentary was suggesting replacing him with more pace...he isn't that that slow. VAR could have gone either way, not sure how Mane impedes the defender behind him. Looks like Moyes isn't doing that bad a job, not an easy West Ham to beat.

    1. Haller is lazy, good header of the ball but can't play up front on his own, doesn't suit the current formation. Not sure who else could play that role other than Antonio?
I think we could have caused more problems if we had an out ball but Haller wasn't putting himself about.
Jota looked good when he came on, made the difference.
Not sure about the disallowed goal, thought it was a goal but in the comentary I was listening to ex Liverpool player Jim Beglin reckoned it would be chalked off, and not many ex Liverpool players say that even when it's an obvious foul.

  10. Decent performance but missed Antonio badly, Haller did nothing and should have been taken off much earlier. Bad from Masuaku who should know the rules that Salah will fall over if you breathe on him especially if Liverpool are losing. Was shocked that VAR gave us a decision, did look like a foul by Mane but rarely given, didn't matter in the end us Shakira came on and laid on a great ball for the winner.
So wins for Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City.

    Day 2 Scores (4 Games)
    Gibbo 6, Paulo 5, Biopunk 4, Lee 3, Paul 3, (Lawro 5, DJ 3)

Final score 3-4, My 2 FPL goalies both playing, sums up my season :)
    Point for Paulo

    Day 3 Scores (4 Games)

  13. Not sure if any of you follow this, at 75 minutes Gibbo was winning before Vardy's goal.
So wins for Leicester and a first win for Fulham.

Week 7 Final Scores (10 Games)
    Paulo 9, Gibbo 8, Biopunk 7, Paul 5, Lee 4, (Lawro 11, DJ 5)

Overall another win for Lawro, would say he was having a good season but a quick check shows he's 10 points down on last season, but I'm over 20 points down and we're all struggling.
The competition it's a first win for Paulo and a best score for the season.
    Congrats Paulo :)

Next week starts with another Friday game
