Kind of lost interest in the Euro's after the England/Scotland game. Annoyed that England managed to suck me into thinking that we had a chance, and that this time it would be different.
yes we haven't conceded any goals. This is more down to poor finishing and Luck than our defensive prowess.
We just want to pass the ball backwards all of the time, using the 3 touch passing system. Pass back to the keeper, even on corners!!. We are better than that.
I don't really rate Kane, regardless of all his golden penalty boots. I think we have some exceptional talent in the England squad, but unfortunately, Gareth with only ever pick his favourites, and that team will win us nothing :(
Kane seems to have an aversion to the Euro's, no goals in 4 games in 2016 and reading my comments at the time there didn't seem much point having him on the pitch.
DeleteBut in the World Cup 2018 he was great, and usually produces for Tottenham so not sure if he is injured or the transfer talk is getting to him?
A lot of good players have been off form, or told to play that way? but still hopeful it will all click?

Wales hammered, but the first really bad ref of these finals ruined it more.
ReplyDeleteThe Wilson foul could only be a yellow so not sure why VAR didn't intervene, although they didn't for the foul in the build up for the 2nd goal?
The Moore yellow was stupid as well, and Bale gets booked for clapping the ref.
The Danes deserved the win despite all that.
Italy through in extra time, as Austria nearly caused a real shock with Arnautovic's narrowly offside disallowed goal.

Looking at the draw, if England can actually start playing as well they possibly should they will avoid all the teams I fancied at the start until the final.
ReplyDeleteFrance, Italy, Portugal and Belgium are all in the same half of the draw.
England most likely to face Germany, Sweden, and Holland before the final (of course losing to Germany will make all this irrelevant)

Wow 2 excellent games today, both 3-3 at 90 mins. Both went 0-1, 3-1, and had 2 late goals to snatch extra time. Spain winning 5-3 and Switzerland winning on penalties :)
