Another double week with games over the next week (see below).
Top 3 all have 2 home games, while West Ham get 2 away π§
Highlights probably Gerrard going to Anfield, and Dean Smith taking on Villa. Chelsea v Leeds always throws up a memory of 1970 π
Could be a bad week for the teams at the bottom?

Man City win but was almost a defensive masterclass by Wolves, settled by a dubious penalty after Jiminez gets a stupid red card. Wolves nearly nicking a draw in the 92nd minute with their first chance.
ReplyDeleteOne point for everyone.
Referees taking care of the top 3 today, all getting dubious penalties
ReplyDeleteReferee certainly not looking after Liverpool. Think Stevie G brought him on the team bus π‘
ReplyDeleteTop 3 all win courtesy of dodgy referees, will be interesting to hear Gerrard's view after being on the end of the usual Anfield bias with Salah's dive getting a penalty, and Ings being taken out by Alison and not getting one? Chelsea get 2 pens, saw the first one which looked like a good tackle by Raphina, sounds like Rudiger went down very easily for the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteMan city getting their penalty after the ball hit Moutinho on the chest, arm was up but ball didn't touch it.
Be interesting to see if West Ham are classed as a big team tomorrow and get a dodgy penalty?
In the other game Arsenal got a shock 3-0 win without naughty boy Aubameyang.
Rant over, One more game today and just 3 tomorrow
Day 2 Latest (5 games)
Biopunk 7, Gibbo 4, Lee 4, Paul 4, Paulo 4,(Lawro 7, Adam 5)
and finally, Man Utd win ... with a penalty (sounded legit for a change).
ReplyDeleteWeek 16 - Day 2 Latest Scores (6 games)
Biopunk 8, Gibbo 5, Lee 5, Paulo 5, Paul 4, (Lawro 8, Adam 7)
Leicester taking their chances and Newcastle didn't, Newcastle really in the s**t
ReplyDeleteWest Ham were good but Antonio and Benrahma look jaded so never really looked like scoring, as expected we had a blatant penalty turned down :(
One game left and Bio leads, outside chance of a Gibbo draw.
Biopunk 9, Gibbo 6, Lee 5, Paulo 5, Paul 5, (Lawro 10, Adam 7)
Final game of this set, Palace win 3-1 (I went for 2-1 so wasn't happy with the 94th minute 3rd goal).
ReplyDeleteWeek 16 - Final Scores (9 games)
Biopunk 9, Gibbo 6, Lee 6, Paul 5, Paulo 5, (Lawro 10, Adam 8)
Overall a win for Lawrenson with his first double figure score of the season.
Our winner is Biopunk, moving level with Gibbo at the top.
Congrats Biopunk :)
Week 17 Kicks off 7:30pm on Tuesday ... Omicron permitting?

Lawro guest for this week is Sea Power guitarist Martin Noble, used to be British Sea Power and once did a song called Canvey Island which is when I first heard of them.

ReplyDeleteBurnley v Watford 1-0
Crystal Palace v Southampton 2-1
Arsenal v West Ham 2-1

Chelsea v Everton 1-1
Liverpool v Newcastle 5-0
Better late than never
Burnley v Watford has now been postponed, Watford have covid
ReplyDeleteAt the moment Leicester v Tottenham is still on tomorrow although Leicester have 9 players down.
Thought the ref had done pretty well dealing with Arsenal's constant diving and cheating, then he spoils it all by sending Coufal off and giving a penalty for a perfectly good tackle?
ReplyDeleteWest ham having another off day although Rice and Dawson were excellent.
Elsewhere Wolves scored a great goal to win at Brighton.
Palace and Southampton drew.
Week 17 - Day 2 Scores (5 games)
Biopunk 2, Lee 2, Paulo 2, Paul 1, Gibbo 0, (Lawro 2, Martin 2)
As expected the Leicester v Tottenham game has been postponed.
ReplyDeleteWith a top score of 2 and only 2 games left it's looking like a bad week.
I think the lowest ever winning score was 5?
Everton kiddies hold Chelsea, and Liverpool having to wait for a late Terrence rocket before making sure of the points.
ReplyDeleteWeek 17 - Final Scores (7 games)
Paul 5, Biopunk 3, Lee 3, Paulo 3, Gibbo 1, (Lawro 3, Martin 3)
Paul grabbing the win after going for the Chelsea draw, just 5 points but good enough.
Even less games in the next set, so might be a short lived low score winner record?
Congrats Paul :)
Will update table later as I keep nodding off, next weeks 1st game due to start 3pm Saturday.
Well done Paul!
