Premier League time again, so here we go with this seasons Premier Predictions 2022-23
Hopefully the regular players will be back and anyone reading
this blog is welcome to join in at any point, just let me know a name
and club supported so I can give you some colours.
T&C's - Usual rules apply
3 Points for a correct score, 1 Point for a correct result.
Predictions
League will be decided on weekly wins first, if 2 or more people share a
weekly win that will be classed as a draw, if at the end things are
still level the total points for the season come into play.
Predictions in the comments please 😀
Obviously
predictions will only count if they are made before the kick offs,
please try and post the whole set at once (but I won't enforce it as
these Friday night games catch everyone out including me).
Prizes - Just the admiration of everyone who plays 😎
1 game on Friday night, 6 games Saturday and 3 on Sunday.
Looking forward to Dawson v Haaland

Give us a clue Anonymous?
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to have new faces but a name or nickname and club supported would be good :)
Think that must be Carpet, the Spurs supporter. I led him here earlier today, I will verify :)
DeleteYes Confirmed. Steph aka Carpet
DeleteSpuds fan hmmm....... Hope he has a sense of humour
DeleteCarpet? there's an obvious joke but I'll resist :)
Glad you're all still around welcome back, plus welcome new person whoever you are :)
ReplyDeleteToo busy finalising my Fantasy teams, so nearly forgot to do mine :)
No more Lawrenson predictions this season, but he has been replaced by Chris Sutton
First guest is a BBC sports reporter Ali Bruce Ball (makes a change from random singers we've never heard of).
Here goes
Crystal Palace v Arsenal 1-2
Fulham v Liverpool 0-3
Bournemouth v Aston Villa 1-1
Leeds v Wolves 2-1
Newcastle v Nottm Forest 2-0
Tottenham v Southampton 1-0
Everton v Chelsea 1-1
Leicester v Brentford 2-2
Man Utd v Brighton 0-0
West Ham v Man City 1-1
(hoping City play as poorly as last week? although Hammers pre-season not very good either)
Decent game to start, the 2 ex Man City players improved Arsenal the rest pretty average.
ReplyDeleteSurprised the (alleged) rapist didn't get more stick, good job he didn't kick a cat.
Good start for Gibbo and newbie Carpet 3 points each, point each for me, Paul.(and Sutton).
9 games left
Great game to start Saturday, Fulham in Liverpool's faces from the off and totally deserving the draw.
ReplyDeleteMitrovic giving Dick Van Dyke a really hard time, never giving him a second.
Couple of errors in Fulham's defence giving Nunez the chance to shine.
Fulham better than expected, Liverpool off the boil so No points for anyone here
Wins for Bournemouth, Leeds, Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea
ReplyDeleteDay 2 Scores (7 Games)
Carpet 8, Lee 8, Paul 6, Gibbo 5, Biopunk 3, Paulo 2, (Sutton 4, Ali BB 5)
Backs against the wall stuff from West Ham who did reasonably well at holding out, but City had Haaland.
ReplyDeleteInjury for Fabianski was a big setback as Areola came on and gave away a penalty within minutes.
Elsewhere Brentford grab a draw at Leicester, and Brighton win at Man U which I'm upset about because I was sure I had gone for a Brighton win but didn't? (Biopunk did).
So first week over and the scores are -
Week 1 Final Scores (10 Games)
Lee 11, Carpet 10, Paul 9, Gibbo 7, Biopunk 7, Paulo 3, (Sutton 6, Ali B Ball 9)
Slight consolation after the West Ham loss is I've managed to stay in front so that a congrats to me :)
Good effort from newcomer Carpet (or Steph) with 10 points.
Overall some decent scores for the first week.
37 to go.
New phone 😀⚽️⚽️🏆
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me join in lads.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Steph, not sure about the nickname but if you're happy with it :)
