Back to domestic football with some really interesting games.
6 games Saturday, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday.
Chelsea as expected dump Tuchel after losing to Zagreb (obviously Euro VAR crew not as corrupt as the English version), Fulham must fancy their chances.
South coast derby Bournemouth v Brighton, with Chelsea trying to steal Brighton's manager obviously money talks but think he should stay where he is if he wants to be in a job next year.
Midlands derby with the two most under pressure managers.
Shell shocked Liverpool should be able to beat Wolves?
Man City v Tottenham should be good, don't think Pep will rest Haaland this week.
West Ham v Newcastle might be a problem for the VAR crew as they hate both teams.
Also 3 other games (but this intro is too long already). π
Fulham v Chelsea
Bournemouth v Brighton
Leicester v Aston Villa
Liverpool v Wolves
Southampton v Brentford
Man City v Tottenham
Arsenal v Everton
West Ham v Newcastle
Crystal Palace v Man Utd

Summer Transfers 2022
So continuing with my six monthly pet project here's the summer transfer update. π
Summer 2022 transfer window now shut so here's where the Premier league cash was splashed this season.
(Info based on the best sources I could find, includes squad and youth players).
Pretty sure this must be a record spend for the Premier League with over £2 billion spent (what cost of living crisis?).
Last year there were the two big £100 million transfers (Grealish and Lukaku), but only two more exceeding £50m, this year although the highest was £85m Antony at Man Utd there were Ten £50m + transfers.
Big spenders were Chelsea and Man Utd with West Ham joining the club this season.
Three teams are showing a large profit, with Man City bringing in £190m.
Nottingham Forest have brought in a massive 23 players, the worry for them is that Fulham and Norwich did similar in the last two years and both were relegated.
Leicester making a profit thanks to the Fofana deal but only brought in one first teamer and two kids.
I've added a loaned out column this season, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man CIty are usually top of this but have noticed Brighton do a lot of it as well.
The Chart:
Total Spend - £2,053,910,000,000
Most Players In - Nottm Forest 23, Bournemouth 12, Chelsea 12, Fulham 12
Most Players Out - Man City 46, Chelsea 43, Arsenal 38
Most Money Paid - Chelsea £267.29m, Man Utd £216.3m, West Ham £164.26m
Most Money Received - Man City £190.63m, Brighton £103.41m, Leeds £97.83m
Largest Profit - Man City £65.08m, Brighton £60.39m, Leicester £57.96m
Largest Defecit - Chelsea £208.52m, Man Utd £193.12m, West Ham £147.44m
Largest Fees Paid (£32m +)
Antony [Ajax - Man Utd] £85.5m
Wesley Fofana [Leicester - Chelsea] £74.25m
Darwin Nunez [Benfica - Liverpool] £67.5m
Casemiro [Real Madrid - Man Utd] £63.59m
Alexander Isak [Real Sociedad - Newcastle] £63m
Marc Cucurella [Brighton - Chelsea] £58.77m
Erling Haaland [Dortmund - Man City] £54m
Raphinha [Leeds - Barcelona] £52.2m **
Richarlison [Everton - Tottenham] £52.2m
Lisandro MartΓnez [Ajax - Man Utd] £51.63m

Sven Botman [Lille - Newcastle] £33.3m
Gianluca Scamacca [Sassuolo - West Ham] £32.4m
Amadou Onana [Lille - Everton] £32.4m
Oddest transfers?
A few surprised me this year.
Loans - Dan James to Fulham, Conor Coady to Everton.
Man City getting rid of so many top players.
Chelsea signing left back Cucurella when they had 2 quality left backs.
Tom Huddlestone to Man Utd, Jay Spearing to Liverpool
Early signs are Haaland and Jesus have been good buys, and several others have started well.

Here We Go Again
The 2022/23 season starts in a weeks time, an odd season as we have the World Cup in the middle of it.
The title will probably be between the big two, who will both be playing in tomorrows Community shield opener (probably starting with reserve teams for both).
Challenging for the minor placings will be Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham.
Avoiding relegation will be the main priority for the 3 promoted teams along with Everton, Southampton and a few others.
Early season transfers have seen Arseanal, Leeds, Man City, Tottenham, Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool and Nottm Forest as big spenders (although Man City have raked in £173m on outgoing players so are £75m up).
Bournemouth and Leicester yet to spend a penny.
Anyway here are those tables from last season for the final predictions and Fantasy Leagues.

Premier Predictions (Week 38)
Here we go it's the final week, the title decider π
In the big one - Only a win can give Biopunk the title, Paul has an 80% chance of hanging on.
Elsewhere Man City can wrap up the league if they beat Villa, Liverpool hoping their old boys can do them a favour.
At the bottom Leeds need to better Burnley's result to stay up, or win by about 25 goals to guarantee it
Battle for 4th should go to Tottenham unless they blow it against relegated Norwich, although Arsenal winning is not a given.
West Ham hoping Palace do them a favour by beating Man Utd for the final Europa league place, although it has been 10 years since we last beat Brighton, and never done it in 9 Premier league games π’
Also it is supposed to be the final set of Mark Lawrenson predictions this week as he's giving it up.
So I expect a Liverpool win, a West Ham loss and lots of 2-0's.
Looks like he has beaten all of us again so we will need someone else to test ourselves against if we continue next season.
Not sure if someone else will take over?
Anyway here goes the final 10, all kick off at 4pm on Sunday
Arsenal v Everton
Brentford v Leeds
Brighton v West Ham
Burnley v Newcastle
Chelsea v Watford
Crystal Palace v Man Utd
Leicester v Southampton
Liverpool v Wolves
Man City v Aston Villa
Norwich v Tottenham

Premier Predictions (Week 37)
Another elongated week with a bonus cup game
13 games - 1 Saturday, 7 on Sunday, 1 Monday, 1 Tuesday, 3 Thursday.
π Usual 90 minute score on Cup game.
Man City with the chance to wrap up the league, but 3 points for West Ham might kick Man Utd out of the Europa spot without blowing their title prospects. Dilemma for City π€£
At the bottom Leeds need to beat form team Brighton, Everton and Burnley have 2 games this week.
Arsenal need to win both their games to hang on to 4th?
Chelsea v Liverpool (FA Cup)

5 on Saturday, 4 on Sunday, 1 on Monday and 1 on Thursday (again).
Man City play first this week, Arsenal v Man U used to be a big game now a battle for 4th if Eriksen puts one over his old team?
Not sure which Chelsea will turn up on Sunday, but not ideal for West Ham who will have their mind on Thursday.
Scouse Derby with Everton desperate for points but very unlikely.
