Premier Predictions (Week 37)

Sorry had a busy week and nearly forgot?
Mega week with 14 games spread over 4 days.
7 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Tuesday and 3 on Wednesday.

Some really big games this week starting on Saturday lunchtime where both Norwich and Man Utd will be desperate for 3 points.
At the bottom Newcastle look more likely than Sunderland to get a win, but Chelsea's season is probably over so who knows?
West Ham need 3 points to put the pressure on the 2 Manchester clubs.

Sunday's big game is City v Arsenal, whoever wins probably guarantees Top 4 and Arsenal could still overtake Tottenham depending on the earlier result.

Tuesday nights West Ham v Man U game could be really big if results go their way over the weekend.
Wednesday is big for the bottom 3 where both Norwich and Sunderland need to take advantage of the extra home game.

Norwich v Man Utd
Aston Villa v Newcastle
Bournemouth v West Brom
C Palace v Stoke
Sunderland v Chelsea
West Ham v Swansea
Leicester v Everton

Tottenham v Southampton
Liverpool v Watford
Man City v Arsenal

West Ham v Man Utd

Norwich v Watford
Sunderland v Everton
Liverpool v Chelsea

Good Luck All :)

  6. Nothing from Longy yet?
Point each for Bio, Paul and me from the first game.
Both teams were bad but Norwich were worse.

Burnley and Middlesbrough promoted meaning at least one North East team will be in the Premiership next season.

  7. WTF!! Knew I was playing with fire going for a Hammers win, and then feared the worst when I saw Lawrenson had gone for a West Ham win for only about the 5th time this season .. but didn't expect that :(

  8. 3 Points in the last game for Paul means he leads in a low scoring week so far.

    Day 1 Scores (7 Games)
    Paul 5, Lee 4, Biopunk 3, Paulo 3, John 2, Longy -, (Lawro 4)

  9. Day 2 Scores (10 Games)
    Paul 9, Biopunk 7, Paulo 7, Lee 5, John 5, Longy -, (Lawro 7)

Bad day for me, everyone else did ok, good pick by Paul with the 2-2

  11. No worries Longy, it's a 2 horse race now anyway and Paulo needs to win this week.

Were you there? looked like a good old fashioned "chopper Harris" type game with Tottenham doing most of the chopping :)
Such a shame, even more of a shame if Arsenal overtake them? :)

  12. No mate I haven't been all season to be honest. Gave my season ticket up at the end of 2013/14 and got a 2 year membership just in case I felt like going. Only went 3 games last season too. Too dear to travel now. I watched the game on my phone while doing the pub quiz!

    cheers Lee

  13. Worrying 45 mins it's only 1-0 and should be 3 or 4, sure Dean will give them something dodgy so need more.

  14. So if Man City lose to Swansea, and United only draw or lose to Bournemouth, and West Ham beat Stoke 15-0 we're in the Champions League :) ... easy peasy

    Day 3 Scores (11 Games)
    Paul 10, Paulo 8, Biopunk 7, John 6, Lee 6, Longy 1, (Lawro 7)
Haven't found Lawro's midweek scores yet

    ReplyDelete
  15. Damn, that didn't pan out too well for me. Looks like a photo finish ;)

  16. Indeed Paul, with 90 minutes on the clock at Anfield you were winning while Liverpool were losing.
Then Benteke scored and that jump in the air moment for you meant me and Paulo had grabbed 3 points.
I hate it when that happens :)

  17. Exciting end to this weeks contest.

    Week 37 Final Scores
    Lee 11, Paul 11, Paulo 11, Biopunk 8, John 7, Longy 2, (Lawro 7*)
(* Lawro didn't post any scores for the midweek games that I could find?)

So a 3 way tie this week, as Benteke's injury time goal costs Paul.
So congrats this week to Paul, Paulo and myself although none of us will be celebrating too much.
Feel guilty for stopping Paulo in the last 2 weeks as that means John cannot be caught at the top of the table.
So early congratulations to John who already has 8 outright wins this season and becomes the 2015/16 Champion :)

  18. Don't worry about it lee it's not the winning but the taking part and I took part! Was at the last game at UPTON PARK Tuesday and was fine until I saw Phil jupitus outside kens cafe and we exchanged a few words and had a man hug lol then the game was a fitting end to our tenure in East Ham the club did an admirable job of a closing ceremony and for me cockney rejects sing bubbles the brass band playing abide by me while showing our players no longer with us such as John loyal, Marc Vivian foe on the screens but my abiding memory was when Bobby turned off the lights for the last time not a dry eye in the house
Congratulations to John look after my title as I will be back next year
    Cheers
    Paulo

  19. Bumped into Phil Jupitas in Tesco's at Southend once, and they had given him a member of staff to push his trolley? I said something like "lazy c*nt" and he just smiled back :)
Would love to have been there one last time, but have seen the best bits and I've had some great times to live in the memory over the years :)

At least John is a West Ham fan so keeping it in the family :)
    One day I might win??
