Over 5 Million players worldwide and 6 of them are in the NBTF League

The NBTF League is still doing reasonably well (a high of 5th)
Currently 31st out of 546 leagues.
Richard still leading the way, Terry still has the minor places (all in front of my best placed team in 24th).

Premier Predictions (Week 15)
Straight on with week 15
8 games on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.
Arsenal v Man U looks the pick of the games with the usual Wenger v Mourinho hate fest.
Rafa returns to Chelsea where he should get a warm welcome :)
West Ham go to City with the only bright spot being that Hart can't play, might risk a quid on the world's most unlikely result? 😆
Alan Pardew and Sam Allardyce both start new jobs, both considered not good enough for the Hammers but they have been trusted to keep their new teams above us, while we have ended up with Moyes??
Bilic, Grant and Roeder should brush up their CV's for when Swansea are looking for a new boss.
Chelsea v Newcastle
Brighton v Liverpool

Fantasy Football Update
Fantasy Premier League: Over 5 Million players worldwide and 6 of them are in the NBTF League.
Unlike our predictions league I am doing pretty well and Paul is having a nightmare :)
Telegraph Fantasy Football
The NBTF League is still near the top of the table (a high of 5th)
Currently 14th out of about 500 leagues, good stuff.
Richard still leading the way, although Terry sneaked in 21 teams before the deadline and is doing pretty well (all in front of my best placed team in 26th).
Although I get the feeling that a lot of the best placed sides have blown a few transfers searching for a manager of the week or month award, my tactic of only replacing injured or non playing players usually means that I have a strong run after Christmas with ¾ of my transfers left?

Premier Predictions (Week 10)
Week 10 already, so over a quarter of the season done (and I still haven't got any points).
Finally updated my fixtures grid so I can start taking the Fantasy football seriously after a duff start. Two changes here - West Brom will now be known as WBA, and C Palace will now be Crystal Palace (Obviously), made it easier to type in the fixtures in my spreadsheet.
On to this week, 7 games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and one on Monday night.
Man U v Tottenham is the stand out fixture, will Mourinho park the bus at Old Trafford to stop Kane?
West Ham go to Palace having won their last 3 games there, so with that and Palace's form this season it has to be a win (so I'll probably predict a defeat with my record this season!!).
Can West Brom do a Wolves and stop City scoring? probably not.
Man Utd v Tottenham
Arsenal v Swansea
Crystal Palace v West Ham
Liverpool v Huddersfield
Watford v Stoke
WBA v Man City
Bournemouth v Chelsea
Brighton v Southampton
Leicester v Everton
Burnley v Newcastle
Good Luck All :)

Premier Predictions (Week 06)
8 Games on Saturday and one each on Sunday and Monday.
The big one should be the first game, although we beat them last season I would have been happier if it was at Wembley as Tottenham have a really good away record at the moment.
Fingers crossed we will be able to put a full team out?

Predictions League Week 5 - All the details so far

Thanks mainly to Richard's flying start the NBTF League has been near the top of the table for the first few weeks with a high of 5th,
Currently 12th out of 493 leagues, good stuff.
My own contribution is pretty poor with a best of 16th this week, but I always start slowly so I'm hopeful of improvement.

Verdict
Arsenal - Managed to hang on to Sanchez but have weakened their team even more by letting players like Oxlade Chamberlain, Gibbs, Perez, Gabriel etc go?
Bournemouth - Looked like they have improved their squad with Defoe, Begovic and Ake coming in, but a poor start so far.
Brighton - So many new names have arrived that it might be a slow start while they get to know one another?
Burnley - Have let a few of their better players go like Gray, Boyd, Kean and Barton, but have signed some decent replacements.
Chelsea - Usual mass exodus from Chelsea with 30 players going out on loan, and those brought in appear to be cover for the extra games this year. Someone needs to sort out the Costa situation as they need him.
Crystal Palace - Not a great window for Palace but managed to hang on to their better players and will be happy to have Sakho back.
Everton - Big changes at Everton with some good players coming in, but will be hard to replace Lukaku.
Huddersfield - Look to have made some decent budget signings and could do better than most expected them to.
Leicester - Harry Maguire looks a bargain, but will miss Drinkwater. Keeping Mahrez for now will keep the fans happy.
Liverpool - Seemed to play with a 3-7-0 formation for a lot of last season and Klopp has strengthed the midfield? will be hoping to score more than the opposition as the defence still looks shaky.
Man City - A lot of money spent improving the defence, but a lot still depends on Vincent Kompany being fit.
Man Utd - Lukaku a great signing and stealing Matic from Chelsea seems like a master stroke, if everyone stays fit and Mourinho doesn't upset them all it could be a good year.
Newcastle - I think Rafa would have liked to bring in a few quality players, squad looks average at best.
Southampton - Have managed to keep hold of their better players for a change this season, but I think they might struggle this year.
Stoke - Have let a few decent players go, but also made some shrewd signings. Stoke look hard to beat this season but can't see them scoring many.
Swansea - Losing Sigurdsson and Llorente could be a big problem for Swansea, the misfiring Bony and erratic Sanches might come good? but the squad looks weaker than the one that struggled last season.
Tottenham - Not much transfer business done but some good back up players brought in. Llorente looks a steal and getting nearly £64m for Walker and Wimmer is good selling.
Watford - Some very good signings by Watford and if they all gel together they could do very well.
West Brom - Pulis seems to have made some excellent signings without changing things too much, should get their regular 40 points well before the end of the season.
West Ham - A few decent signings but the defence still looks weak, most of last seasons signings have now gone which makes you wonder? usual hope of Andy Carroll actually being fit.
All the facts and figures from the most reliable sources available.
Premier league clubs have spent £1.42 Billion and received £790 Million, 142 players have joined clubs and 428 have left.

Premier Predictions (Week 01)
Here we go again :)
The all new prediction competition for the 2017-2018 season.
T&C's - Usual rules apply
3 Points for a correct score, 1 Point for a correct result.
Predictions League will be decided on weekly wins first, if 2 or more people share a weekly win that will be classed as a draw, if at the end things are still level the toal points for the season come into play.
Predictions in the comments please :)
Any spam and abuse will be deleted so don't bother.
Anyway enough of that :) hopefully the regular players will be back and anyone reading this blog is welcome to join in at any point, just let me know a name and club supported. Obviously predictions will only count if they are made before the kick offs.
So here is the first week of the new season, games spread over 3 days with 1 on Friday, 7 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday.
------------------------
Arsenal v Leicester
Watford v Liverpool
C Palace v Huddersfield
Chelsea v Burnley
Everton v Stoke
Southampton v Swansea
West Brom v Bournemouth
Brighton v Man City
Newcastle v Tottenham
Man Utd v West Ham
------------------------
Lots of new players and the big 7 all playing European football this year mean their might be room for one of the others to make a challenge?
Money talks so you would expect the title to be contested by Chelsea and the 2 Manchester clubs with Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool in the mix.
As for the rest it's hard to predict who will struggle the most and none stand out as possible title contenders.
The bookies have Man City as favourites with Chelsea, Man U, Tottenham and Arsenal next best.
Favourites for relegation are Huddersfield followed by Burnley, Watford, Swansea, Palace and Brighton.
Good Luck All, and let's hope it's a great season.

A New Post
Still alive :)
Not too much happening in the footy world during June and July so just a random post.
Confederations cup is ongoing, have watched a few of the matches but not nuch to get excited by.
England under 20's won their version of the World Cup, so well done to them.
The England Under 21's have made the Semi finals of the European championship, and will face Germany on Tuesday (lets hope it doesn't go to penalties?).
The transfer market is a bit slow at the moment although the 20 players so far brought in by the Premier league teams have cost £250 million, so I expect a record outlay due to the highly inflated prices being quoted, we got nearly £6 million for Havard Nordtveit when I thought we would struggle to give him away :) and Liverpool have just paid over £35 million for Chelsea reject Mohamed Salah?

Here are the final results of the NBTF Leagues.
FPL - had just the 4 players, myself, Paul, Longy and my son Gary (based in America).
Really happy to win this as I was in 3rd and over 100 points behind with just 8 weeks to go.
TFF - 111 Teams from 17 players.
Thanks to Allan, Andrew, Brian, Colin, David, John, Leslie, Matt, Nicola, Paul, Richard, Rob, Ryan, Shane, Simon and Sue for playing along and getting the league up to 54th overall.
None of us really challenged in the main competition, I only managed to get into the top 1000 in the last couple of weeks.

Premier Predictions (Week 38 + FA Cup)
The final week
Not much left riding on these games as our competition is over, the title and 2nd place has been decided, 3 teams are already relegated which just leaves the 3rd, 4th and 5th place to be finalised.
Arsenal have to win and hope the other 2 slip up, which looks unlikely.
Arsenal v Everton
Burnley v West Ham
Chelsea v Sunderland
Hull v Tottenham
Leicester v Bournemouth
Liverpool v Middlesbrough
Man Utd v C Palace
Southampton v Stoke
Swansea v West Brom
Watford v Man City
Just for completion here's the FA Cup Final
(does not count in the week 38 scores)
Arsenal v Chelsea (90 minute score)
Good luck all :)
Back for a new season around the second week of August, but hope to be posting various stuff to fill the gaps in the meantime.
10 weeks without Football, not even an International competition it's a disgrace :)
Hopefully you will all be back next season to try and beat Paul :)

Going to be a bit confusing as it's a mixture of league games and Cup ties, plus the games are being played over 6 days. 5 Games on Saturday, 3 on Sunday, 1 Tuesday, 3 Wednesday and 1 Thursday.
Extra rules - The 2 FA Cup semi finals are 90 mins + injury time only (not including extra time and penalties) and will also count towards the Cup competition.
Bournemouth v Middlesbrough
Hull v Watford
Swansea v Stoke
West Ham v Everton
Chelsea v Tottenham (FAC)
Burnley v Man Utd
Arsenal v Man City (FAC)
Liverpool v C Palace
Chelsea v Southampton
Arsenal v Leicester
Middlesbrough v Sunderland
C Palace v Tottenham
Man City v Man Utd
For the record 7 teams have 2 games this week, and West Brom don't play at all.
Will probably post the week 35 games before this one finishes just to confuse everyone :)
Good Luck All :)

League Updates
Here is the full prediction table for those playing.
Couldn't find a prediction from Lawro and guest for the Man City v Stoke game a few weeks back, so they are one game down. If it does turn up I will add it in.
These are the current state of the NBTF Leagues in FPL and TFF competitions.
As I am not doing anywhere near as well as last season, I've not been following this that closely and now looking forward to next season.

Premier Predictions (Week 33)
Another week flies around, this Easter weekend sees 7 games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and a Monday game.
Chelsea at Man U is the big one and no doubt Mourinho has his excuses ready blaming the long trip to Belgium midweek, while Chelsea didn't have a game (which is no way his fault) :)
West Ham have their best chance of grabbing the points needed to stay up.
Tottenham have the best chance to keep Chelsea honest while the other contenders have tricky away games.
Swansea, Hull, Boro and Palace all have winnable games which might put pressure on Stoke and Burnley?
Tottenham v Bournemouth
C Palace v Leicester
Everton v Burnley
Stoke v Hull
Sunderland v West Ham
Watford v Swansea
Southampton v Man City
West Brom v Liverpool
Man Utd v Chelsea
Middlesbrough v Arsenal
Good Luck All and Happy Easter :)

Premier Predictions (Week 30 + 31)
Back from Internationals week with a double bill.
Week 30 - 8 Games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday
Week 31 - 4 Games on Tuesday, 6 on Wednesday
Week 30 opens with the Mersey derby, Lukaku's on form but Everton will miss Seamus Coleman, West Ham badly need something from Hull if we've got any players left. Could be a final chance for Arsenal as they have to beat City to stand any chance of a top 4 finish.
Week 31 the midweek games throws up a couple of biggies, a really big week for Everton who could force their way into the top 4 with 2 wins or possibly fade away, Chelsea meet City who need something to stay in the hunt for 2nd.
Hopefully Arsenal will have a really off day on Wednesday?

Premier Predictions (Week 29)
Once upon a time I used to post other football stuff as well as Predictions competitions, also used to do a music and general blog.
But my thought processes seemed to have dried up, I really need to make an effort to get my brain out first gear.
Anyway on with the show :)
Week 29 has 7 games on Saturday, and 3 on Sunday before yet another international break.
Difficult week where nearly all the games could go either way, should be good.
Hopefully Leicester will still be celebrating their excellent European win :)
West Brom v Arsenal
C Palace v Watford
Everton v Hull
Stoke v Chelsea
Sunderland v Burnley
West Ham v Leicester
Bournemouth v Swansea
Middlesbrough v Man Utd
Tottenham v Southampton
Man City v Liverpool
Good Luck All :)

Premier Predictions (Week 28) + F.A Cup (Part 4)
Early post this week due to the late rescheduling of the Man City v Stoke game.
This Week it's a totally mixed bag, which now total 9 Games. Five League games and 4 F.A Cup games.
All will count towards this weeks Premier Predictions Competition, the 4 Cup games will also count in the Cup competition (does that make sense) :)
** 90 Minute (+ injury time) score in the Cup Matches only please **
(as these could go to Extra time and Penalties, and that gets too confusing ??) :)
Wednesday 8th March
Man City v Stoke
Saturday 11th March
Middlesbrough v Man City (FAC)
Bournemouth v West Ham
Everton v West Brom
Hull v Swansea
Arsenal v Lincoln (FAC)
Sunday 12th March
Tottenham v Millwall (FAC)
Liverpool v Burnley
Monday 13th March

Premier Predictions (Week 27)
Games over 3 days again this week, 7 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and the big one on Monday.
A small chance some of the chasing pack will make up some ground on Chelsea who should lose on Monday :)
Liverpool v Arsenal is very hard to call, Liverpool usually turn it on against the bigger sides and Arsenal usually fold but both need a win.
Tottenham should have a harder game this week, as Everton are on a good run but who knows?
Man Utd v Bournemouth
Leicester v Hull
Stoke v Middlesbrough
Swansea v Burnley
Watford v Southampton
West Brom v C Palace
Liverpool v Arsenal
Tottenham v Everton

Premier Predictions (Week 26)
Just the 8 Premier league games this week, played over 3 days.
Just to make up the numbers I've added in the League Cup Final (90 Minute score only please, not including extra time if needed).
Chelsea should go 11 points clear with City, Arsenal and Man U not playing this week.
Could be bad news for Leicester if Palace and Hull pull of wins?
Chelsea v Swansea
C Palace v Middlesbrough
Everton v Sunderland
Hull v Burnley
West Brom v Bournemouth
Watford v West Ham
Tottenham v Stoke
Man Utd v Southampton (LCF)

F.A Cup Predictions 2017 (Part 3)
Been having trouble posting for some reason? (5th attempt seems to have worked)
Back to Cup competition this week (sorry it's late)
Just the 8 games, but all interesting.
8 Premier league teams all avoiding each other for a change meaning a few of the smaller teams finally get a big fish.
Odds are that the Prem teams should all go through, but as some of them have been playing reserves in the Cup there is still a chance of slip up's :)
5 Games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and the dream draw on Monday which could be the biggest story in Cup history (or more likely 5-0 to Arsenal?).
Burnley v Lincoln
Huddersfield v Man City
Middlesbrough v Oxford U
Millwall v Leicester
Wolves v Chelsea
Fulham v Tottenham
Blackburn v Man Utd
Sutton Utd v Arsenal
Good Luck All :)
Usual cup rules - 90 minute score (or 98 mins in some cases) no replays included.

Premier Predictions (Week 25)
Seven games on Saturday, Two on Sunday, and one on Monday this week.
A couple of potential shocks this week with Arsenal probably thinking about the trip to Munich on Wednesday facing new improved Hull City, and Chelsea going to Burnley who have won their last 7 home games.
Monday's game should be a goal bonanza (I should go for 0-0) ?
Arsenal v Hull
Man Utd v Watford
Middlesbrough v Everton
Stoke v C Palace
Sunderland v Southampton
West Ham v West Brom
Liverpool v Tottenham
Burnley v Chelsea
Swansea v Leicester
Bournemouth v Man City

Premier Predictions (Week 24)
On with the show even though I'm as depressed as hell, West Ham humiliated and I drop to the foot of the predictions table despite outscoring most of my rivals again .... grrr!!!
The first game looks to be the big game, although not as much spice as previous seasons, Arsenal really need it but Chelsea should have enough to win.
The only worry in the other games is that teams near the bottom have all seemed to realise they need to up their game recently, so might be a couple of shocks?
8 Games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday.
Chelsea v Arsenal
C Palace v Sunderland
Everton v Bournemouth
Hull v Liverpool
Southampton v West Ham
Watford v Burnley
West Brom v Stoke
Tottenham v Middlesbrough
Man City v Swansea
Leicester v Man Utd

January Transfer window is now closed, so here's the facts and figures (as far as I can find out)
Big Spenders - Crystal Palace, Man City, Everton

Table includes all the deals I could find and the fees according to the most reliable sources I could find (not the papers who seem to double most prices for a good headline).
There are a small selection of undisclosed deals which have been kept very secret for some reason?
I did read that Jordan Rhodes might have been sold to Sheff Wed by Middlesbrough for £9.5 million, but it was right at the last seconds so might not have gone through? (so not included).

Premier Predictions (Week 23)
With the Cup still going on it's time to think about this weeks Premier league games, 7 on Tuesday and 3 on Wednesday.
Liverpool v Chelsea looks like the big game, Liverpool with only a 1-0 win at Plymouth from 8 games this year against Chelsea with 14 wins from the last 15, should be an away banker but football doesn't always work that way?
West Ham will be hoping for a much better performance than that disaster in the Cup (couldn't be worse hopefully).
Some of the African players will be back this week.
Arsenal v Watford
Bournemouth v C Palace
Burnley v Leicester
Middlesbrough v West Brom
Sunderland v Tottenham
Swansea v Southampton
Liverpool v Chelsea

Premier Predictions (Week 22)
Another exciting week of the Premier League :)
Big game of the week is under-performing Man City against over-performing Tottenham, Pep Guardiola has managed to make a very expensive City team look pretty average, while Pochettino is getting better every year, making some pretty average players play like world beaters.
The rest of the title contenders look to have pretty easy games, but you never know.
West Ham need to build on last weeks excellent performance at smog city, which has not been a happy hunting ground in previous visits (although we did win there the last time we played).
Liverpool v Swansea
Bournemouth v Watford
C Palace v Everton
Middlesbrough v West Ham
Stoke v Man Utd
West Brom v Sunderland
Man City v Tottenham
Southampton v Leicester

Payet
Oh well that's another football love affair ending in a bitter divorce :(
One good season and a good Euro's for France and suddenly he's too good for us, so he's refused to play anymore.
The problem with modern footballers, their only loyalty is to their bank balance.
So he joins the ever growing list of football Judas's off for a bigger pay packet somewhere else.
Hopefully after 6 months of sitting on his arse collecting his £120k a week we can at least get back what we paid for him?

Premier Predictions (Week 21)
Back to the Premier league after last weeks Cup damp squib.
8 Games Saturday and 2 more on Sunday.

Oh and Big Fat Sam should get a warm reception at the Stratford Bowl :)
Tottenham v West Brom
Burnley v Southampton
Hull v Bournemouth
Sunderland v Stoke
Swansea v Arsenal
Watford v Middlesbrough
West Ham v C Palace
Leicester v Chelsea
Everton v Man City
Man Utd v Liverpool
Good Luck All (especially Me, Paulo or Longy) hehe :)

François Van der Elst RIP
Sadly another former Hammer passed away today :(
Francois Van Der Elst suffered a heart attack on New Year's day and did not recover.
I first remember him scoring twice in the 1976 Cup Winners Cup Final for Anderlecht against West Ham, but he redeemed himself nicely by signing for us in 1981 and played really well every time I saw him live, although I remember thinking he was much shorter in real life than he looked on the telly (but I've said that about everyone I've met) :)
RIP Francois.
